Summary: Among the better 2D performers available, the Samsung PNC7000 series plasma also delivers 3D for less than the competition.
Pros: Excellent black-level performance; accurate color overall; numerous picture controls and tweaks; sleek styling with inch-deep panel; superb streaming and widget content via well-integrated Apps platform; solid 3D picture quality.
Cons: Cannot properly handle 1080p/24 sources; less efficient than LCD models; duplication of Apps and widgets can be confusing; does not include 3D glasses.
Conclusion: With 3D TV compatibility and a competitive price of $2425 we think this model will be a good seller this year. It's simply got a great picture, and excellent Internet options. I would buy it just for the picture quality alone. Competition is from the Panasonic TC-P58VT25 which sells for a few hundred dollars more. Some LEDs also compete in this are but if you want 3D compatibility one of the only competitors is Samsung with the UN55C8000 .
Conclusion: The PN58C7000 from Samsung is an excellent 58 inch 3D Plasma TV for consumers who are on the lookout for a relatively cheap 3D capable TV that still retains excellent image quality and the ability to deliver an immersive 3D experience. It is also cheaper than the PN58C8000 and there isn’t much of a difference between the two, so we would gladly recommend the PN58C7000 to most consumers.
Excerpt: We review the PN58C7000 3D TV , part of the C7000 series of Plasma TVs from Samsung. The C7000 series of Samsung plasma 3D TVs is oriented towards price conscious consumers who are looking to enjoy a 3D experience in the comfort of their homes without having to give up an arm and a leg in the process.
Excerpt: It’s been over a year since we last reviewed a Samsung plasma. That’s no surprise. LCD displays now dominate the HDTV market to the tune of over 90 percent. In general, our reviews have followed that trend.
This excellent 58in 3D television from Samsung combines the brilliant picture of plasma with the thin and stylish design of an LED TV

Summary: The Samsung Series 7 (PS50C7000) plasma is very nearly the best television we've tested. It's got an excellent design and generally great picture quality, only falling short in overall black levels. 3D is handled well but there are still a few aberrations; it is fine for occasional casual viewing. The Series 7 (PS50C7000) does a great job on Internet connectivity as well, making it an excellent all-round performer we'd happily recommend.
Pros: Excellent build quality and impressive design, great picture quality, surprisingly reasonable price tag
Cons: Not the best blacks we've seen on a plasma, some 3D niggles
