Summary: Don't buy this. I've had one for less than 2 years and its already broken. I didn't even use it very often. My primary TV is a Vizio, supposedly a less quality product, that I keep in my bedroom and has lasted wonderfully for over 5 yrs. The Samsung, I used maybe twice a month and so with probably less than a couple hundred hours of use on it has already failed.
Summary: I purchased this set about 18 months ago and now the TV will not power on anymore. I called Samsung and they will not back up there product. Its going to cost me $250 to repair. My Sony lasted over 10 years. I will never buy another Samsung product again! It doesn't even deserve 1 star.
Summary: Beware when buying Samsung plasma sets. The Sets have a rather serious problem with the screen cracking internally and their customer support and warrenty are very sub par. For additional details read below prior to buying any Samsung product: [...
Summary: I owned 3 days. Very, very, very diappointed.Just to get started, you have no contoll of resolution. When setup with HD cable box. What ever they send is what you get, there are no up scaling options for formatting. For that matter no options. When you set up from cable box HD to TV with a HDMI ,when you connect an optical cable from TV to your receiver or home theather . You will only get a PCM singnal out put.
Summary: I was excited to receive my new tv and although I expected minor scratches etc to the outside but I did not expect the tv to turn up in blatantly bad packaging and very badly damaged internal packaging. The upshot is the screen had an internal crack and was missing screws for the stand. The remote already had batteries in so someone had previously sent this item back to amazon. I guess they sent it back because the screen was cracked. Very disappointed.
