Excerpt: I bought Samsung’s PS51D6900 TV when my Grandma died and left me some money. We wanted a 51in plasma TV that fitted on the wall. It's an excellent television that has Active 3D built in. You only get one pair of 3D glasses included, but it is very good. There is Full HD resolution. It retails for around £913, at least that's what we paid for it. The screen is massive and displays images really clearly.
Pros: Very good features, excellent quality and value for money .
Summary: I purchased this TV having done a lot of research and looked around all the major retailers at what the various manufacturers had to offer. I've now owned it a couple of weeks and have been really impressed - a big improvement over my previous Sony Bravia full HD LCD. The quality of the picture is outstanding using Sky HD and Blu Ray. Crystal clear as you'd expect and very crisp even when there's a lot of motion on screen - football for example.
Summary: Like everyone else, I spent quite some time reading and researching which television I should buy. I gave myself some loose criteria which were at least 50", Plasma and that I was going to give 3D a go. After a close brush with buying a Panasonic (hate it when people say Panny!), I'd read enough good reviews on this one to take the plunge and click the button. I chose PRC because they cannot be touched on price, anywhere.
Summary: I've had this for about 6 months now. Generally the picture is excellent from all sources but apparently it does depend in the firmware version you are running. I'm happy with 1015 mostly on the Movie picture setting and have stopped it updating further automatically. Can't comment on the sound as I haven't been able to hear it. I've got it plugged into an Onkyo receiver by optical and the TV is convinced its got headphones connected!
Summary: The Samsung PS51D6900 represents great value for money. Like most Samsung tellies looks great especially for a plasma, almost LED in appearance. Very happy with the overall picture quality and cost. Bought this Tv as a 2nd set to my Samsung UE55D8000 and would have to say this TV does have the edge when it comes to style, level of detail and vibrancy of colours.
Summary: I sold my 5 year old 40" JVC LCD and replaced it with this unit. I did review others' feedback plus bought a magazine before deciding. I am convinced this was a great selection. The picture quality is excellent. I replaced my DVD player at the same time and bought a Panasonic unit and without even trying Blu-Ray I was very impressed. PS3 Games are much improved too! Why not 5 stars? On screen reflections ARE very noticeable, whether windows or wall lights.
Summary: + Exceptionally good 2D picture (SD and HD) + Very good 3D picture + Unnoticeable image retention + Lots of functionalities + One of the best quality/price product on the market - Gets quite hot - Buzzing noise - City Link who was in charge of delivering the TV provide an exceptionally poor service. My TV arrived with a broken bezel and this is not the first time I receive broken products from City Link. It's a shame Amazon.co.uk deal with them.
