TV cannot be used if remote is damaged or lost...

Summary: We actually love the TV...we got this to replace out previous plasma that developed lines in the screen after four year. Definitely a learning curve with the remote and all of the features though! I gave this one only three stars because we discovered that the TV is totally useless without said remote ( our dog ate it ).
Summary: I purchased this 51" TV along with 2 pairs of 3D glasses (SSG-3100) on 10/16. This is my first samsung TV. All of them arrived in a timely fashion. I hooked up the TV and did the pairing with one of my 3D glasses to play around the active 3D function. The 3D image and the performance of active 3D glass was stunning and outstanding that I have to admit. I just use 3D function probably once a week or per 2 weeks after that.
Picture is very good, but there is LOTS of buzzing

Summary: The picture on this is great, once adjusted away from factory settings. My only complaint is that this set has a noticeable buzzing when it is on. Amazingly, the buzzing is only heard if you are sitting within about 15 degrees of direct center. If you are off to the side, you do not hear it. The buzzing has nothing to do with audio settings and does not come from the speakers. It even happens when the tv is on mute and there are no sources connected.
Summary: I bought this from local store that is "best" place to "buy" on sale. I ended up returning it because it has the plasma buzz. PRO The picture is absolutely gorgeous. It has great contrast and very wide gamut for color. It has great UI/Navigation Menu for controlling and switching various options. I love the fact that I can start playing mp4 and ripped dvd movies straight from a USB thumb drive. Beautifully built and designed. Thin. Nice looking base.
Conclusion: Awesome, all this media hub goodness — although it probably adds a couple score bucks to the price, and if you’re paying this kinda dosh for a TV, you probably have an AV receiver/media centre that does this, so hello needless duplication. There’s a market opportunity for a great quality TV without the gubbins.
Pros: Image processing engine does a great job of making any content look good Flexible input and output options
Cons: Some of the features are a bit redundant at this end of the market The glass is pretty glossy, so reflections can be a problem, and not the deepest blacks in the world WiFi dongle not included
