The Best Plasma TV

Summary: Samsung PN50C7000 is a model that is worth a second look. Lacking only a few things, when compared with its brother Samsung PN50C8000, like integrated Wi-Fi, and Cinema Smooth technology, it still delivers great image quality in 3D, 2D, standard and full HD. Any type of content can be played on this screen, and you will not be disappointed, as its capabilities are truly amazing.
Pros: Excellent blacks, Overall great picture quality, A wide array of streaming options
Cons: No 3D glasses included, 1080p/24 performance subpar for a model of this caliber, Not as energy efficient as LCD TV models
Summary: Among the better 2D performers available, the Samsung PNC7000 series plasma also delivers 3D for less than the competition.
Pros: Excellent black-level performance; accurate color overall; numerous picture controls and tweaks; sleek styling with inch-deep panel; superb streaming and widget content via well-integrated Apps platform; solid 3D picture quality.
Cons: Cannot properly handle 1080p/24 sources; less efficient than LCD models; duplication of Apps and widgets can be confusing; does not include 3D glasses.
Conclusion: The PN50C7000 from Samsung is an excellent 50 inch 3D Plasma TV for consumers who are on the lookout for a relatively cheap 3D capable TV that still retains excellent image quality and the ability to deliver an immersive 3D experience. It is also cheaper than the PN50C8000 and there isn’t much of a difference between the two, so we would gladly recommend the PN50C7000 to most consumers.
Excerpt: We review the PN50C7000 3D TV , part of the C7000 series of Plasma TVs from Samsung. The C7000 series of Samsung plasma 3D TVs is oriented towards price conscious consumers who are looking to enjoy a 3D experience in the comfort of their homes without having to give up an arm and a leg in the process.
Excerpt: Arguably 3D is giving new life to plasma TV technology. I’ve looked at three different Samsung LCD 3D TVs, and now the Samsung PS50C7000 3D plasma TV, and there is no doubt that the plasma is the better performer when it comes to 3D.
Pros: Excellent value for money, Very good crosstalk performance, Support for hard disk recording
Summary: If you are a movie buff then you would definitely love to have a television which would give you good picture quality so that you can enjoy your favourite movies time and again. However good picture quality is not all that the masses seek these days as they want bigger dimensions to enhance the movie experience, better sound and better clarity so that they can almost live the movie.
This excellent 3D television from Samsung combines the brilliant picture of plasma with the thin and stylish design of an LED TV

Summary: The Samsung Series 7 (PS50C7000) plasma is very nearly the best television we've tested. It's got an excellent design and generally great picture quality, only falling short in overall black levels. 3D is handled well but there are still a few aberrations; it is fine for occasional casual viewing. The Series 7 (PS50C7000) does a great job on Internet connectivity as well, making it an excellent all-round performer we'd happily recommend.
Pros: Excellent build quality and impressive design, great picture quality, surprisingly reasonable price tag
Cons: Not the best blacks we've seen on a plasma, some 3D niggles
