  • Excerpt: I had never been what you call a TV aficionado but since a bought my Samsung HDTV Plasma I have been captivated and now I can't wait to watch my favorite NatGeo programs. It feels like you are experiencing the real thing! I have a regular Tv in my guest room. The other day while I was cleaning the room I turned it on and I had to rub my eyes a couple of times thinking there was something wrong with my vision. I had not realized how much better my Samsung was.

  • Excerpt: This is an outstanding TV. The picture quality is superior to other televisions I viewed in the same class. It turns on fast, shuts off fast and is easy to use. It has a sufficient amount of HDMI adaptors, the sound is great and it has a fiberoptic audio plug in. I am very pleased with this purchase. A fifty inch Plasma TV under $1000. Perfect for our house

  • Excerpt: We got this TV a few months back and LOVE IT. Excellent quality display. BluRay and HD look perfect on it. The only "complaint" that i would have is that sometimes bright colors get burned in for a period of time but nothing permanent. That and the heat that comes off the tv is a lot. Vibrant colors and really overall just a great TV for our family. Fits perfectly in our entertainment center too.

A Game Changer!

  • Excerpt: Wow! We purchased the Samsung plasma as an upgrade from an old (and tiny) non-flat screen. Our old one was the TV-VCR combo that the kids beat up and ruined. I think somebody stuck a keychain flashlight into the tape drive and tried to get it out with a plastic saucer from a tea party set. So we were ready for a grown up TV and THIS ONE IT BEAUTIFUL!! The box was huge when we brought it home from Sears, but installation was a snap (about 10 minutes).

Samsung PN50C550 50' Plasma TV = Totally worth it!

  • Excerpt: My husband and I bought this TV four months ago after YEARS of lusting over fat, big-screen TV's.  We've always known what we wanted and being forced to watch our dinky, fading-around-the-edges 27-inch boob-tube while trying to save up money to afford what we wanted, was absolute torcher.  We had many factors that went into buying this particular tv.  We have a large living room, so size was important, and the 50-inch is perfectly adequate.

Plasma Tv are better than LCD! And Samsung TV are the best

  • Excerpt: I originally had a Panasonic 42 inch Plasma TV that I got from Costco 6 years ago. It still does everything fine for me. I don't need all those extra features that come with a HDTV today like the usb ports, wireless internet, LED backlight, 120Hz trumotion, or whatever it comes with today. But I did need a tv that has a HDMI port. My old TV only had a DVI port and would only support up to 720p and 1080i.

Great Plasma TV for a great price!

  • Excerpt: We decided to purchase the Samsung 50in. HDTV Plasma TV in June 2009 when we saw it go on sale at SEARS for $1,200. We had been looking at this TV for a while and were for it to drop in price from $1,600. We had done research between Plasmas, LED's and LCD TV's and hadn't seen a real need for anything more expensive than the Plasma. We don't watch very much TV (2-3 hours a day), and didn't see the need to spend over $2,000 on a TV.

  • Excerpt: Samsung is one of those companies that makes a great product at a fantastic price. In January 2008 I was shopping for a flat screen, specifically plasma, and this one popped up on sale for $1199 from $1699 AND came with a free 21" LCD TV PLUS a $200 Gift card to shop at NFL.com! Almost 3 years now and I have to say it looks as good as it did the day I took it out of the box.

  • Excerpt: I've had my 50" Samsung 1080p tv for almost a year and half now and I've never been disappointed.  I came from a CRT tv so it was a big step up but I looked long and hard for this tv and haven't been disappointed.  The remote is really easy to use, menu pretty intuitive and picture is great.  Also, this tv swivels which is pretty rare but SO nice.  I was worried about the glare from the window next to the tv but this isn't an issue at all.
