Summary: Just bought this tv at Costco and have not even got cable set up on it yet. Blurays look awesome, but the dark black and brown detail is not nearly as good as Panasonic plasmas. That's not too say if doesn't have inky blacks, because it does. It just doesn't have the amazing detail that you see in the mid to upper end recent (and discontinued) Panny Plasmas.
Wonderful TV, but beware 3rd party delivery vendor!

Summary: The TV quality is great, plasma is definitely the way to go. We did buy some curtains for our living room to block out light, since like all plasma screens, it is very reflective. But other than that, we love it. Our biggest complaint was not with the quality of the product, but with the delivery. The TV arrived over a week late, which is quite an inconvenience for such an expensive purchase. This was due to the third party delivery service.
Summary: I've had this TV for 6 months now in my living room. It's definitely better than my old TV, and I am happy with it overall. Pluses: - Huge! - Great brightness - Great picture quality / crispness - Good color reproduction - Fast turn-on / turn-off time - No stupid Samsung apps However, it has drawbacks that I've come to live with but would try to avoid if I were buying this TV over again.
Summary: it is a good purchase. lot of tv for the price..me and my husband are not tech savvy but we enjoy our television. there are more futuristic sets out there but we just want to watch tv and blu-rays/dvd's...we are not quite ready for the smart tv yet..
Pros: Attractive Design, Energy Efficient, Fast Setup, Good Remote Control, Good Resolution, Great Picture Quality, Great Sound Quality, Reduced Glare
Summary: I was the only person saying they will still make plasma in 2014 and well, the world was wrong, here they are. And this 2014 Samsung plasma has BETTER COLOR than the 2013 lower-end models. (The 2013 LG and Panasonic plasmas were good but the 2011 Panasonic entry-level plasmas were subpar like the 2013 Samsungs.
