Excerpt: I bought this TV almost 2 years ago. I did a lot of research before I decided on this TV. I owned a 46" Samsung before this one and I liked it a lot. I read a lot of good reviews on this tv before I decided to buy it. I paid around $950 for it 2 years ago which was a good deal at the time. I was looking for at least a 50" and I didn't care if it was 1080p or not since I didn't own a ps2 or blue ray player. The picture on it is good enough for me.
Excerpt: When my boyfriend first moved in with me, I had a small 26inch TV which was really pitiful to watch movies on. A few months later on Black Friday he was one of the first ones to get to the elctronic store and was able to get this Samsung for almost half off. He calls this tv his baby and is really protective of it but with good reason! The picture quality is amazing and we set up a home theater in the living room so watching movies has become a frequent thing.
Samsung has the best picture quality for your money.

Excerpt: After reading many reviews and conducting thorough in-store "testing," we decided to go with the Samsung 50" Plasma. We have had it for 6 months now and we absolutely love it! The picture quality is phenomenal. True black makes the colors rich and lifelike. 600hz processor speed means there is absolutely no lag in my favorite action movies. The Samsung quality cannot be beat, especially at this price point.
Excerpt: Last year our 52" RCA Big Screen went out after replacing the fuse twice. So after watching a 32" tv for about a year, my husband was fed up with having to watch a small tv in our new remodeled home theater. After doing a 3 month extensive research on Plasmas & reading review after review; visiting store after store watching tv after tv, we decided on Panasonic Plasma. By the time we had decided the newer Plasmas were coming out so these were headed for clearance.
Excerpt: We purchased the Samsung PN50B450 50" Plasma TV about 10 months ago for just over $600 when our old-style crt TV finally stopped working. WOW is all I can say. I did not know what I was missing. The picture is incredible, with deep, beautiful colors and true blacks. The sound is fine to me from the unit, but hooked up to surround it's a theater-like experience.
Conclusion: Excellent at this value (I paid Aus$1,287 in Dec 2009)
Pros: Excellent image quality, execellent skin tone, crisp picture (eg. detail of the grass when watching soccer/cricket telecasts), minimum bluriness yet realistic colour & contrast, fast response, almost no pixelation when watching analogue-standard signal via AV or RF connection.
