Summary: PROS AND CONS AT THE BOTTOM To start with this is a great TV, absolutely fantastic for a small living room with around 8-9 feet distance from couch/love seat. I really admire the extended features built in to the TV including the GAME MODE which is an absolute essential for anyone doing anything online gaming related.
Summary: Just picked up the Samsung PN43E450 from a local Wal-Mart last night. It was quite simple to set up from the box, with the bulk of the time being screwing on the base support to the base then the back of the television set. Once my coaxial cable was screwed in, the HDMI for my PlayStation 3 and the other HDMI for my laptop plugged in, and the power cord (which is sufficient but a bit short) attached, I just turned the set on.
Summary: Ordered this from Amazon when they had it on sale for $378. Went down to $369 after using the rewards points i had with Amazon VISA card. Delivered to my house via CEVA delivery service w/o any problem. I must say that the pic quality of this TV has more color and more crisp than my LN55C630. I bought this mainly for the basement so plasma is a perfect choice.
Summary: We first bought a Samsung 51" LED. Brought it home, and I had horrible headaches, eye strain, and it was just too bright. Even with fixing the brightness level and fiddling with all the other levels, it was just impossible to watch. We packed it up and sent it back. The plasma in the store seemed to be easier on the eyes. We decided to try it and go down in size, and it was the best decision! I love this tv. The color is better than the LED.
Summary: I helped my parents (in their mid 50's) pick out this TV and then set it up for them. Very simple to set up and not filled with excessive bells and whistles (no 3D, internet apps, etc.), this was the best choice for them. Yes, there is a screen door effect if you are right up on the TV but as I understand, this is typical in most any 768p Plasma set. But from 4 feet or more away, there is no issue.
Summary: brought this set for the bedroom; honestly i can said after almost 6 months of use that i'm very happy with it; doesnt get 5 starts because i feel that needs more inputs (it has only 2). Easy to setup and calibrated.
Summary: I just bought one of these TVs on sale. I am upgrading from my favorite Sony analog tube TV, which still works like a dream. Plasma might not give the best daytime view, but it is actually better than I expected. The downside is the lack of extra ports, but I don't use them anyway. The colour and sound took some playing with to get right, and still are not quite as good as my old 'box' tv, but are pretty close.
Summary: After searching and comparing prices, I went with this tv. Sharp display. And because it's thin body, it looks great when mounting it on a wall. Pros: thin body, light, and great price compare to other 40"-50" TVs Cons: it doesn't have any buttons on the tv itself, must use the remote to turn it on or off.
