Summary: I purchased this TV 3-22-13 and just now had my first problem. the LED power light keeps blinking and it won't power on. So after much research on the web, I found that most of these Samsung sets start having this problem when the set hits two years old!
Be Careful: Major Problems with Streaming Services like Netflix and Amazon Prime
21 September 2014
Summary: I bought the 2012 version a couple of years ago for a little under $1900. In February of this year (after the warranty expired!) the built-in streaming services completely stopped working - both Netflix and Amazon Prime. I checked with Netflix, and the problem is definitely with the Samsung TV.
Summary: We purchased this TV in September 2012 after a tremendous deal of research and comparison shopping. We are extremely happy with it; the 3D is awesome, it has a great refresh rate and the Smart TV features are pretty cool, except kind of slow.
Summary: The picture on this TV is awesome and the 3D effect is very good with no ghosting but the motion controls are annoying. Sometimes the onscreen motion control menu just pops up and stays there for a minute or so. I think the TV is mistaking my face for my hand or something.
Summary: Considering that the new-fandangle techie features on the 8000 work barely 50-60 percent of the time and the remote is cumbersome to use, save hundreds of dollars and get the E7000 series or E6500 series instead.
Summary: I would highly recommend this plasma TV over any LED or LCD. The picture is probably the best you will get without spending 3 or 4 times the money. I purchased a Sharp 70" top of the line before this TV. It was bad. The Sharp (not so sharp) was good at best in HD and really bad in SD.
