Summary: Failed at 14 months of age. First audio then video. Disconnecting and reconnecting power brought it back to life for about 15 minutes before failure happened again. Really disappointed after all the time we spent researching prior to purchase. Forget about trying to get service from Samsung. Filling out service requests on their website results in silence. Next will be LED from Costco as I've lost all faith in Samsung.
Summary: I purchased this TV in 2012 after researching a number of brands and models. This Samsung Plasma was noted as the top pick in consumer reports and other rating websites. Right at the two year mark the TV would randomly turn off and then back on. It progressively grew worse with the unit not even powering on! I called Samsung support and they were indifferent and told me there were no such known issues with their TV’s and to have a nice day.

Summary: The picture is very good and has been good for 10 months. But now the TV will not come on sometimes and will work fine other times. Sometimes it will turn itself off also. Samsung customer service has gone down hill in the last year!! I wish I could return this set. Sometimes when I unplug it then plug it back in it starts all by itself..
Summary: We purchased this TV in September 2012 after a tremendous deal of research and comparison shopping. We are extremely happy with it; the 3D is awesome, it has a great refresh rate and the Smart TV features are pretty cool, except kind of slow. It networks with other devices (computer, tablet, smartphone, etc.), which is a neat feature The only thing that makes us rate it 4 stars instead of 5 is the sound.
Summary: Nice TV with great picture. I did notice a slight buzz that everyone was talking about. The apps can be slow at times. The streaming is definitely slower than my xbox so we stream with xbox for hulu and netflix. Other than that it is a great TV.

Summary: I've owned my Samsung PN60E8000 for exactly 1 year now (fortunately, I'm 20 days inside my warranty, otherwise I would be out of pocked on repair issues). I was the first to buy one when it arrived at Best Buy a year ago. Now, one year later, 2 weeks ago from today to be exact, the TV suddenly went dark in the middle of watching a program, and the little red light in the bottom left of the TV that usually indicated that it's on, but this time was blinking red.
Summary: This is for all the other reviewers out there having a problem with the buzzing sound. As noted, a slight buzz is part of the plasma technology. When the TV volume is down or off, you can hear a slight hum. It's really minor, and once your volume is over 10-15, you can't hear it at all. HOWEVER- I think some reviewers are really hearing a LOUD BUZZING SOUND. In fact I heard this on my TV after about a week or two.
