Summary: This TV was working perfect out of the box but it started degrading after one year of use. Exactly in a year time frame, when the warranty expired for this TV, it started showing some dark lines in the middle of the TV. After calling Samsung helpline, they asked me to do some picture test and the TV at that time passed this picture test. The helpline asked me to check my connectors as per them the TV was great.
Sturdy, beautiful picture, just had to write something...

Summary: I just recently moved and wanted to mount my TV with the picture mount option. I managed to hang the TV right in the outer edge of the wall mount, and so as I adjusted it, it came crashing down - a 5 feet fall right on the lower left corner, the plastic frame broke on the middle and the metal in the corner curled up about 2 inches, this is a heavy TV. I freaked out, I have had this TV for two years almost, and it has been an absolute delight.
Summary: I was trying to decide whether to get a Plasma or LCD. So I looked up some reviews and this tv was one of the top 5 hdtv's in 2009. The tv itself is beautiful. Though it's thin, it's HEAVY! I am not overly impressed with the picture quality. Perhaps I need to play with the settings. My parents got an older 52-inch Samsung LCD and the picture looks significantly better than mine. I don't have the annoying buzz sound that alot of people complained about in other reviews.
Summary: This TV has a lot to like. The picture quality overall is excellent. The colors are accurate and vibrant, while the blacks are quite deep. The glossy screen handles reflections better than I had hoped. The panel also has great aesthetic appeal, with it's super slim profile and sleek lines. But I had to return the TV to Amazon. The front of the panel emitted an obtrusive, distracting buzz that was highly audible dead center 12 feet away.
Summary: I use this television in our family room. I watch HD programming exclusively (including sports and movies) and for watching BluRay movies. Action sports look fine. I don't notice any jittering during action sequences. No hum from speakers as some have reported. The quality of the speakers isn't quite as good as the speakers in my older 46" Samsung plasma television but I am guessing the thinness of the television meant compromising with the speakers.
Pros: Attractive cabinet, Awesome picture quality, Easy to use setup menu, Great lighted remote, Intuitive menu controls, Very deep blacks
Summary: Loving the TV! The buzz is there but not an issue when connected to a surround sound system. It is no worse than my other plasma. I even tested by watching them side by side and the other brand plasma buzzed louder. I could live without it but it is not affecting my experience. The internet works great when connected directly to the network. The Wifi option is worthless and not worth the money.
Summary: The TV was recommended by a friend of mine and I liked the specs. The delivery went flawless, and the setup was easy. The picture is amazing and I love the internet features. The set does produce a little heat but i figured it was because it is plasma.
Summary: Deep rich blacks make for vivid depth. It has settings for the novice to the more advanced to color/image correct. The most obvious thing about this is that it is paper thin (almost) The rotating base is nifty if u plan to put it on a stand but wall mounted, it is just hot looking. There is even a game mode setting which is a little more vivid for gaming. As for what I didn't like about it is that it runs a little warm. Depending on the type of image...
Summary: I shopped around for TVs about 3 years. I started to get serious about Plasma's VS LCDs recently when looking at the Samsungs. I love this TV. Im so glad I waited and didnt get something earlier. I have this 50" Plasma in my living room and it's beautiful. I think I'll probably get an LCD for my bedroom in time. The quality of the viewing angle isnt as important in a smaller room. Amazon delivered my TV through an independant delivery company. I got the TV in TWO DAYS!

Summary: Don't know what I can say that the others haven't. I picked this set up two months ago (in Jan 2010). Haven't had any buzzing issues at all. Seems there was a bug with this model and it's 850 brethren, but Samsung fixed it in sets that shipped out in the last quarter of 2009. Hope all of the other ones are off the shelves and returned to Samsung to get fixed by now.
