    The most obvious comparison to make is with the Sony KDL-52XBR4 . As much as I like that TV, I prefer the Samsung with its better blacks, sharper standard-def detail, better 120Hz frame interpolation, one more HDMI input, and better menu system. And the Samsung is $800 less than the Sony to boot, making it a better value. Both have very wide bezels, so you need to take that into account either way.     The Samsung LN52A750 is a current Fall/Winter 2008 LCD TV model which includes non-detachable hidden speakers, 3 HDMI inputs and a 15 pin computer input.     Comments about Samsung LN52A750: This television must have been created by a football fan. Wow can you really see the game so much better! It’s almost like you are down on the field with everyone. Don’t let the sound trick you into thinking you are at the stadium; it’s so crystal clear that you could probably hear a pin drop on the other side of the stadium.     Just for 52" and this particular model 750, we need to pay atleast 500-600 $ more compared to 650/46". Except expensive, picture quality is good. Read more

    Great picture quality right out of the box. Set-up was so simple I still haven't opened the manual. I also purchased a Blu-ray player but the standard DVDs look so great that the extra cost of Blu-ray disks does not seem worth it. This my first experience with HDMI equipment and I love the way it automatically recognizes the input and includes audio and video in HD in one cable.     After doing some research for a new TV set to replace our dead 5-yrs old Sony rear projection TV, we decided to go with this Samsung unit due to all the rave reviews. And I have to concur with many of the praises bestowed upon this TV. First and most important is the picture quality of the TV.     TV worked great for three weeks, then the screen stopped working. They came and fixed it a few weeks later, still didn't work. Then they wanted to come fix it again. Had to argue for a replacement, still haven't received one 6 weeks later. THE WORST customer service I have ever experienced. They did nothing in terms of service recovery. Read more or see product
