The good: I watched the NBA championship and the picture was so incredibly clear and sharp I thought I was there. The colors are so vivid that when I have guests they all say, "Wow!"The bad: The TV takes about 3 seconds to turn on. After it comes on, you cannot change the volume or channel for another 3 seconds - very annoying. Also, although it has a picture-in-picture feature, it only works for a secondary device, like a VCR or cable box. Read more
Great image. Easy to set up, but tweaking the image/settings is fairly cumbersome. I haven't read the manual yet, so that my give me some tips, but all in all, this is a great TV. The image is much better (especially contrast) that than of the 42" Panasonic plasma that it replaced. However, I do not recommend it for a room with lots of light, due to the glossy screen and potential for glare. Read more
The Samsung 52 inch LCD TV is everything I expected and more. A great picture and to think it comes from a company in Suwon, Korea. Not the Suwon I remember from '52 & '53. Read more
Pros: Best 120HZ LCD on the market. I bought the 52" LCD to place in the family room. Everyone who sees it, states the picture is awesome. I use an AVR with it for great sound. The blacks and color are very, very good. Football games are like being there. I was afraid the reflection from the screen would be noticable, but once you focus on the picture you do not notice it due to the detail in the picture. Read more

This is a great TV. The picture is fantastic. Only two drawbacks the interface on the front of the set is hard to see and use, but we use the remote anyway. I have the set in a large great room so i have noticed some reflection during the day. I bought the 120 HZ model but have yet to see anything at that speed as the blue ray dvd player I have and my direct tv hook-up only give me 60 HZ. But I am real happy with my purchase. Read more
The picture is Stunning. It looks like your watching live video through a window, even with directv, which only supports up to 720P. I do not have blueray yet to see 1080p in action, but can't imagine how the picture can get much better. Even 480i dvd's look great. I researched all 52" lcd panels and this one by far has the best picture. Cons: Sound is nothing great. Cannot use speakers as center channel for 5.1 system. Read more

Can someone please tell me why its says I am viewing 1080i? I've attempted to change the resolution many times to 1080p but the onscreen indicator still says 1080i. Any ideas?
