Summary: Purchased one in August 2012 from another dealer with a 2 year warranty. The picture went black after 2 years 7 months. There is sound and there is video on the screen which I confirmed with a "flashlight test".
Summary: Very disappointing! Picture quality is great. Sound quality was great. Until I blew the speakers. I admit, my fault. I like to listen to my movies loud. Once the speakers were blown, I bought a samsung home theatre system to fix my speaker problems, but come to find out, THERE IS NO AUDIO/VIDEO...
Summary: Excellent picture, Samsung quality, but I agree with the other reviews including a) terrible sound, b) no audio output connection other than the standard A/V RCA cable that goes to your cable box, and c) poorly designed stand that doesn't swivel.
Summary: I know televisions fairly well and am extremely picky about my electronics. I got a 46" for $400. So, expectations were tempered. At 60 Hz, they were even more tempered. This television blew me away.
Summary: I have been watching this TV for about a month now and considering it cost me less than $350 (a refurb) I can say it is a good product. I have another 40-inch HDTV that retails for about $1,000 and the picture quality is much better than this Samsung. Pros: 1.
Summary: I don't care about attaching an external sound system, so this TV is great. I knew 40" was going to be a big TV, but I didn't have a very good grasp on exactly how large that is. I was really pleased when I took it out of the box.
