Summary: Only four days after receiving the TV, it stopped displaying any images on the screen. (For the next bit, keep in mind I would have just RMA'd it to Newegg immediately, but for some reason I thought I read in the warranty info that this particular model could not be RMA'd to Newegg.
Pros: The display swivels on its stand to accommodate different viewing angles.
Cons: Broke in four days Before it broke, picture had noticable ghosting and input lag (with post-processing modes turned off) Samsung support not helpful or understanding at all
Summary: The stand feels solid and the speakers are ok. Just don't expect the world from them. They become very tinny at higher volumes. Due to the large size Newegg ships them through some other company. Was slower then Neweggs usual amazing ship times but being so large this was expected.
Pros: No flash lighting that you get from LEDs. Very dark blacks and perfect colors. Amazing picture all around comparable to LEDs priced twice as much. See Cnet.com for picture settings for best picture.
Cons: Not a fan of the controller. AutoMotion settings are great for sports but less impressive for cable and movies. Doesn't come in 50"-55". This model is 40" and 46" and thats disappointing . Would have been more then happy to spend the extra for a larger screen with this quality.
Summary: I use this only for general PC use. Image editing, Video editing, high end PC gaming as well as console gaming. I don't use it for television. The automotion is great to have on if you are playing a high end PC game that you aren't getting an awesome framerate on. it essentially doubles your fps.
Pros: -AutoMotion doubles framerate in video games -Automotion can be turned off -No burn ins -Lots of config options -EcoSensor is interesting to play with
Cons: -Clunky unintuitive menu -AutoMotion hitches on PC video -Sharpness needs to be turned to ZERO to make a PC look natural. -AutoMotion makes standard film look like it is behind the scenes / Soap Opera / BBC -Reds are abrasive
Summary: I've got a couple Samsung TV's (this one and a 52"), and I agree that they make the best mid-range and high end TVs (just MHO). I also second the recommendation that you have to tweak and adjust the TV settings.
Pros: I agree with all the prior comments. Great picture, nice features, high quality TV. Really like the option to use the wireless usb adapter to get wifi access. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833166025
Summary: As was previously mentioned the Auto Motion+ it what makes the picture appear fake. Once it is turned off the picture looks normal (actually better than normal). It is easy to under rate a tv when you do not know how to set it up or read the owners manual.
Pros: The television does a great job of upconverting Std Def cable and making it look phenominal. It is sleek with great picture quality.
Cons: Once the television is calibrated for the room there are no cons.
Summary: I will just say that it's tough to beat samsung when it comes to anything LCD. The make arguably the best mid-range and high end TVs. Another reviewer mentioned servicing for a strange effect - what he might be referring to is Auto-Motion+.
Pros: Great picture nice features sleek design high quality
Cons: Had this television serviced by authorized service centers twice because of the "lightsaber trail" ghosting effect and slight discolorations and different backlight brightness on the right hand (and left hand, after the first "repair") portions of the screen. They have informed me that this does,...
