Summary: The screen on my 46 inch Samsung LN46B630 46-inch 1080 120 Hz LCD HDTV is failing. Two marks are growing from the top of the screen and are now three inches long heading towards the bottom. I noticed these vertical marks about a year ago and they just keep getting longer and are now visible on most programs. This TV is just over a year old and I'm absolutely not expecting this failure at this time.
Summary: I bought this TV knowing it was a mid-range tv with a, at the time, low-mid range price. After getting it, I as very impressed with the clarity and the smooth graphics (120 Hz). Most of my friends and family have HDTVs, some costing more and some costing less. But EVERY person that comes over to my house comments on how much better the picture quality is than their tv. This tv is HIGHLY recommended.
Summary: I did lot of research when purchasing this unit in 2009. TV had good picture quality and through Amazon, it was very well priced. After 1 1/2 yrs of usage, my unit no longer functions and like many other Samsung LCD tvs, there is a defective capacitor (which only costs couple dollars) on the power supply. When calling Samsung,I was told only 2007 and 2008 models apply for recall at this time. I am going to purchase an extended warranty on big purchases from now on.
Summary: I thought at first that this was a great buy . Boy was I wrong Amazon had a good price on it but the Tv is junk. I bought it n Aug. 09 & n Dec. 10 it started having issues with turning greenish /redish powered off it would clear up & of course it justed went out of warranty less than a month ago. Now Jan.
Summary: I hemmed and hawed about going flat screen - after all my 27" Zenith was all anyone really needed - right? Well, the old Z-machine finally started to go dim and the colors faded and it became an eyesore to watch. So I started looking around at big screens. I thought a 42" was all I needed but my wife convinced me to go 46" (yes, my wife!).
Summary: Very nice TV. Look around for a while. The TV sits in my family room very bright and no gloss like that it has a flat mat screen. Size is just right for a room 18X22. Great Picture and good sound. Add speakers to the TV And yes made it sound better. But its a TV not a movie theater.
Summary: I bought the TV last year after July 4. A couple day ago, when the TV turned on, strips all over the screen, I think the tube is not working. same thing with the damn phone I have. It's Samsung Behold expresso. the touch screen is completely not working after 1.5 year, my contract haven't end till Feb,11. I will never buy any SAMSUNG ever again in my life!!! Such poor quality they provided!!
Summary: Have had this TV for six months now. Picture, features, controls are all great! Sturdy with lots of jacks to boot. You can tweak everything to suit your taste, and the NON glossy screen is much better at resisting glare from windows and such. Sound quality is MEH but not bad at all really. VERY HAPPY with my purchase.
Summary: Great value when purchased. I was disappointed I could not get high definition but not the TV fault. My TV cable only has 4-5 hi-def channels available but plan to increase this within a year. Good TV after four month's use.
Summary: The reviews on Amazon really helped me choose this model. The other 46" model for another $200(better sound and 100,000 contrast instead of 80,000)more sounds great too, but I have separate sound and did not need it. My friend has one of those models, and it does have the best TV sound I've heard, which includes a subwoofer built-in. I connected the Cable HDMI, Windows7 HDMI, Xbox, PSP, & PS2 with component cable, and they all look super good.
