White Glove Delivery Not What I Expected...
6 August 2008
Summary: First, let me say this is a beautiful TV. I love the picture and have had no problems setting it up or watching all varieties of input, from old VHS to 1080p HD signals. However, when I received the TV through the white glove delivery service, the installers were unable to do anything but place the...
Summary: Since late 2000, I've been the proud owner of a Runco PL-50c 50" plasma TV. The Runco was (and still is) a great TV, but over the past seven and a half years, it has been surpassed by other TVs in terms of resolution, input ports (my Runco has no HDMI or even DVI, which limits its usefulness with HD...
Summary: Before I bought this TV, I read the reviews and honestly was concerned about the shut off problem that some folks reported even though everyone was impressed with the picture quality. Well it have been about a month so far and no problems yet and WOW, what a picture quality.
Summary: Like many, this is my first big screen purchase. Since this is a significant investment, I didn't want to make a big mistake - or even a small one if I could help it. I've been reseraching, comparing, analyzing, and have viewed "millions" of TVs - or so it seems.
Summary: Like just about everyone else making a major purchase like this, I agonized for the past few months over PLASMA vs. LCD, SONY or SAMSUNG, 120hz vs 60hz. Every time my family and I went to a store to view the various TV options first hand, the picture on the Samsung LNa650 and LNa750 were just mind...
Summary: I've had this TV for almost 2 years, purchased Nov 08. Worked great, picture was amazing. Well yesterday, November 2010, the TV would go through a "clicking" power on cycle that lasted about a minute. After doing some research it's a widespread problem with the TV.
Summary: I waited about a year or so until my eyes told me the LCD's were catching up in picture quality to the Plasma's. I'm definitely glad I waited. Picture is just stunning and I've seen no evidence of jittery pixels, blurring, etc. Nothing. Even standard low-def isn't to bad.
Summary: Had the product for 1 month, when it works it looks great, however the sound drops out for a few seconds every other day or so, the picture has locked up 3 times already, and at times when you change stations there is a static sound.
Summary: This TV is phenemonal, both in the way it looks on the wall with its beautiful gloss and with its picture. It's every bit as good, if not better, than my 55" Hitachi plasma AND it doesn't produce the heat of a plasma. HOWEVER, I have 2 complaints: 1. the remote control wheel is bad.
Summary: Just as an FYI, Samsung has issued a firmware update that is available via their home website that fixes the off/on issue mentioned in another review. I have been using this TV for over two weeks now, since the update which was released on 4/9/08, I have had ZERO issues with this unit.
