Summary: This is the review I would have wanted to read when I purchased this tv. I spent a long time doing research deciding how to replace my Phillips 46" lcd which was a faithful television to me for 4 years. Through my trips to each and every national electronics chain, I came to the three conclusions.
Summary: This TV was amazing for the first 18 months until the screen suddenly became fuzzy and distorted. It comes and goes, with increasing frequency. Samsung says it's not in warranty anymore, conveniently. Buying a Sony next - TVs should last longer than 18 months.
Summary: Finally dispatched my 20 plus year old Sony 20 inch CRT (darn son of a guns still working pretty well) - so my perspective for high quality HD 1080 / 120 hz viewing is a bit skewed. That said, I am quite pleased. I bought when Amazon had temporary price dip to around $625. Arrived unscathed.
Summary: The TV was simple to set up but please take the time to calibrate properly to your OWN viewing environment. Suggested settings for this TV that are posted by "experts" can be all wrong for your own personal viewing needs. I have mine hooked up to my home theater and the sound is wonderful.
Summary: Put off buying a high definition flat screen TV until January of 2012. My mistake the quality of the Samsung picture is great. Now I am upset for not doing this years ago. Easy assembly, straight forward instructions and within minutes after it arrived, I was watching shows on it.
Summary: I bought this Samsung TV from Amazon after comparing it with a bunch of others at a local Target. The price was better here and I could have it delivered at no additional cost with my Prime membership.
Summary: This TV has a beautiful picture. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the menu system. It's somewhat difficult, and does a few goofy things. One example is if you switch inputs, you have to hit enter or the menu stays on the screen.
Summary: Wonderful picture! For the money cannot beat Samsung. Great entry level LCD HDTV. The 120 hrz makes the picture so much more clear than the 60hrz. I'm glad I spend the little extra to get a more crisp picture. All my friends and family rave on it. Great buy and shipping was fantastic.
Summary: I did hours and hours of research, both online and in stores looking at TVs and our eyes inevitably were drawn back to the excellent quality of the picture on this set. If I had not read even one review, the choice still would have been clear.
