My LN40A750 died so I went and bought the LN40C610 because of the 120 hz refresh rate and the abundance of plugs in the back. The 610 has a semi matte screen that reduces glare and reflections. However, the glossy screen/ultra clear panel of the 750 produced a better looking picture. The blacks of the 610 are deeper and the contrast ratio is 80,000:1 compared to 50,000:1 on the 750. Blur is pretty much non existent with the 610. The TV also comes with a swivel stand, great if you have side couches. The major negative of the 610 is judder. No matter how you tinker with the Auto Motion Plus options, there is judder. I never once had judder on the older 750. It is incredibly annoying and really drops the rating down for the 610.

    • Deep blacks, Swivel stand
    • Judder no matter what adjustments are made

  • A Newbie... and worried.

I'm just making the "big step" into big screen TV's. One of the phrases in the above review stood out from the others: "But you will face blurring if you try to watch DVDs on this model. There may be problems with synchronization again which will give rise to distortion in the action scenes. ' Does this mean that if I buy an HDTV or BigScreen TV that I can't use a regular non-HD cable service and that I can't play regular DVDs ???? and will have bad quality from this Samsung model? Are there any settings that I can change to allow me to keep my normal digital TV (non HD) service and/or play normal DVDs. This doesn't make sense to me. OR is the quality problem only with THIS model of Samsung? Another question... there is conflicting data on the net about this model... DOES it have Wifi capability ( with a $129 add on USB WiFi adapter OR not? The samsung web site says "no" for this model, yet Future Shop, BestBuy etc. web sites say "yes"? Am I better off buying Apple TV for streaming / connectivity etc. instead of the $129 for the adaptor? I already have a TimeMachine Wifi. Opinions?

  • Why is my Samsung (Ln40c610) having video lag issues?

I purchased this televison before christmas, the problem I am having, has to do with playing video games on it, especially X-box Live. On and offline with the Xbox360, I notice horizontal lag at the top of the screen when playing. I happens mostly when there is alot of activity going on, (gun battles for instane) I'd like to know how to correct this issue. I am currently viewing in 1080P and using a network adaptor for the Xbox Live part. Like I said earlier this horizontal video lag occurs when I'm playing offline Xbox as well. It is not gameplay lag. I need answers, thank you all.

  • Wall Mount/hung

Can this TV be put on a wall mount and hung? I did not see any screws at the back in pictures so might as well ask! thanks!

Yes it can be mounted on the wall, however you must buy a seperate wall mount kit. I hope I have answered your question to the fullest

  • what is the picture quality for using PS3 with this TV?

    Answered by Andrew2984 2011-01-09:

I don't have a PS3, but I do own an Xbox-360, both systems are practicaly the same. This Samsung displays my Xbox-360 in full 1080P, as well as the PS3. To answer your question, the PS3 will look very good on this TV. Just make sure you purchase an HDMI cable for maximun viewing
