Died after 24 Months......

Summary: Great TV until it died on me. Standard Power Supply issues everyone else had.....they are trying to give me the run around. Well if I cannot get them to provide the repair for free, I'm gonna get a class action started. This is BS this company is denying known issues with all these TVs and they are getting away with doing nothing.
Great Picture, But has inherent power supply board design issue
12 February 2010
Summary: I bought this around 1 year before and I can tell you that the image quality and aesthetic appeal are great. But the downside is that this TV has a very basic design issue with its power supply. The electrolytic capacitors used in the power supply are low voltage rated and will eventually blow up(if you are unlucky). The symptoms are clicking sound when powered up, delay in powering up.. And the TV will not power up after a few days.
Summary: I purchased the Samsung LN40A550 40" 1080p LCD HDTV on July 14, 2008. It's my 4th big screen HDTV purchase but my first 1080p box. Agree with other reviews in that it has an absolute beautiful picture at a very good price. There are many features I love about this TV, but here's the problem.... I purchased a Samsung 1080P8 upconverting DVD player with an HDMI (version 1.3) cable.
