Summary: Everything was fine with this unit which I purchased in Jan 2010, until about Jan 2012 when the screen started having issues turning on. It took two clicks of the remote and then it would come on. But sometimes it wouldn't and I had to unplug, wait, replug in and then it MIGHT work. Well, in Sept 2012 the screen never turned on again. You can see the red light flicker when you hit the power button on the remote or on the TV itself, but nothing happens.
Summary: I purchased the Samsung LN22B460B2D in May of 2009. It worked very well until last week (Dec 2010)when the screen went black when I turned it on. After checking everything I called Samsung customer service who said it needed new firmware (why??) to resolve the issue. So, I went to the website downloaded the firmware and loaded it to the TV through the USB service port. Didn't work..
Summary: Purchased this TV through Amazon August 2009. Picture quality and features are nice. Volume is inadequate at times even when cranked to the max. The big issue: It's been sent back for warranty repairs twice. The TV shuts off without any warning and won't restart. When this occured the second time within a month, I started researching the internet. There are numerous internet postings on numerous websites concerning defective Samsung LCD TVs, with the same issue.
Summary: I originaly bought the Samsung LN26B360 and I was totally disappointed and returned it. Then I read that the 4 and 5 series are much better so I gave Samsung another chance. I'm glad I did, wow this set is awesome. The picture is so good digital channels look like HD(I'm not using an HD cable box). Sound quality is just ok but, afterall it is a 22' TV and is not really a problem. If your looking for a really, really good 22" this is the one.
Summary: This is my second Samsung within the past year. The 46" set purchased a year ago has been excellent and so when I needed another smaller one I came as close to it as I could. Both were delivered on time or before and have been working fine. Thanks for great service.
Summary: This is our first flat panel TV and we did quite a bit of research before purchasing. Seems different manufacturers concentrate on different sizes - Samsung had by far the best picture for the 22" class (looked at a bunch of TV's at Best Buy to compare). TV size was dictated by where it's being used. Great antenna - we have no cable at our rural location and often have a difficult time receiving local stations.
