We took delivery of this TV in Jan '08 and were thrilled at the low price on Amazon (plus free shipping) after much window shopping and price comparison. It worked great! Then a few months ago, black patches started to appear on the screen in random places. it happened when the DVD player was on, too. I searched online and found posts by people experiencing the same thing. I called Samsung and basically, since the warranty was up, I was on my own. Read more

I use this TV in my bedroom and it's the perfect size for my use. The set-up instructions were very detailed and yet still easy to understand. My biggest complaint about this TV (and this may not apply to most folks) is that the closed-captioning text is very small and the position of it interferes with the program. Read more

I am not an electronics expert, but I have only good things to say about this SAMSUNG TV. It was a toss up as to whether to get the A450 or the C350, which is a newer model. However, for the savings, I decided on the A450 and am extremely satisfied. Any criticism about the sound quality is being picky - unless you want to add periphals that require superior sound quality. I have it in the bedroom, so it is perfect for me. Read more

This TV is good in every way except for picture brightness and contrast. No matter how I tweak the picture adjustments, the picture often looks as though it is behind a smoky gauze. Even my old nondigital picture was brighter than this! Unfortunately, I believed that the 3000:1 contrast ratio would produce a dramatic picture! Profit from my gullibility. Choose another TV! I replaced my 13 inch tube TV with this 19 inch LCD. It was very easy to set up with its plug and play feature. I agree with some customers that have commented on the poor sound quality. However, for 19 inches, this is a great TV. Read more
