Excerpt: Needing a television for a spare bedroom, I decided to purchase the Samsung - LN46C630 LCD television. I have used Samsung plasma televisions before so I felt confident going with this brand. Unfortunetly, I was not impressed at all. The colors look a bit washed out, the blacks are not very deep, and most importantly I can see a lot of ghosting. The ghosting is especially viewable when watching any type of sporting event.
Summary: I bought this unit in April 2010. In September 2012, the screen starting flickering like a strobe light. Many people have had similar complaints. Samsung Support will not acknowledge that this is a known issue and say that the TV has to serviced by a technician. I followed the following instructions which have worked so far: [...
Buy Samsung if you want to catch-up on reading and playing board games

Summary: I purchased this TV in May 2010 from Amazon.com. The price was good (it has not gone down much since then, though, which is surprising), and overall, I was fairly satisfied with the TV in the first year of ownership. I was not blown away with the quality. Of note, the picture, even for sports which is my primary viewing interest, was what I would characterize as good to very good.
Summary: Bought this TV in 2010. Loved it! Unfortunately, 2 years later there is a red haze that takes over the screen and has gotten worse and worse. Sometimes there is visible black lines across the entire screen as well... We now have to replace the TV. I don't know if this is a common experience, but I would say look for a different model...
Summary: I advise you to avoid this television and most of Samsung's televisions for a matter of fact. The television had a great picture when it worked but as time progressed the tv would take longer and longer to turn on. Sometimes taking about 30 seconds to finally display a picture. Now the tv will not turn on at all, of course, only a few months after warranty had expired.
failed after 2 years - picture flickering/strobing
C. Stephens, Amazon

Summary: This TV was wonderful for the first two years I owned it. Excellent image, nice controls, plenty of inputs. Then after about 20 months it would occasionally flicker (more like a strobe light). It got progressively worse and worse until it flickered constantly and therefore was unwatchable. If you google the model number of this TV the first thing that comes up is lots of reports of flickering - it is a very widespread problem.
Summary: This thing dies after a year. I know there are good and bad reviews on all products. People automatically think they can jump to another brand and get a reliable product. If you believe that I have some ocean front property in Az. for sale. Best Buy is closing 50 large stores and opening smaller ones. The CEO Brian Dunn resigned. On line sales are up 14%-walk ins are down. The New York times says sets are on sale.
Summary: I bought this Tv before Christmas in 2010, and it did fine until about two weeks ago. The channels change on there own, the volume goes up and down on its own, the source will change, it will cut off and on and it will change to store mode. I looked online to see if there were any recalls and found none. What I did find was that I am not the only person having this problem. There are many people with the same complaints with Samsung tvs.
