Not worth your hard earned money....
24 August 2013
Summary: Bought this TV on Dec. 22, 2011 from a major local retail store as a Christmas gift for my retired mother. It was the best "40 LCD on the floor, not a 3D or smart tv, but would serve well. It was easy to set it up with Comcast. The image was crisp and not a problem within the 1 year warranty.
Summary: Great picture, solid color, sharp, clean styling, and very decent sound. Cons- Not a huge fan of the menu system though. More confusing than it needs to be. Really need an auto-detect source feature with all the different inputs it has available that way you're not hitting source four times to...
After 6-9 months of online research I picked this model,no regrets
22 November 2012
Summary: It does have everything that make Samsung so popular except it's not a Smart TV but I didn't want a Smart TV,heard it blocks online features but you can use the Samsung USB adapter,or an eithernet plug,or directly from monitor plug, and it's basically a Smart TV,wii-fi or a computer screen.
Summary: This tv has great picture quality... almost, but not quite on par with, some of the previous sets i've had including the Sony nx720 and a samsung plasma d7000. While still a slight notch below those two others, this set competes nicely at a fraction of the other's cost.
Summary: This is typical Samsung quality. Bright, crisp, clear. Great color saturation. I'm using it as a computer monitor for my media center PC, so I run DVD, mk4, avi and Netflix. All look good. My setup puts me 6' from the screen, so I would definitely notice flaws.
Summary: I got this TV about one month ago. I tested it out by both playing PS3 games and watching blu-ray movie. It turns out I like it very much, the image quality is good, and sound is good. (I really don't understand some people who really expect a high performance of the built-in speakers).
Summary: I did a lot of research before purchasing this TV. This Samsung is very well reviewed as a TV that delivers an image that is superior or better than most of it's competitors at a substantially less price. The TV lives up to all of the accolades it has received!
Summary: I purchased this HD TV for my 86 year old mother so that she could watch Golf and Football in more detail. Very easy to set up and program. Good, sharp picture and sound. Simple operation. She did not need a lot of bells and whistles that would only frustrate and confuse her.
Buy Samsung if you want to catch-up on reading and playing board games
20 July 2012
Summary: I purchased this TV in May 2010 from Amazon.com. The price was good (it has not gone down much since then, though, which is surprising), and overall, I was fairly satisfied with the TV in the first year of ownership. I was not blown away with the quality.
Summary: When shopping around for a flat-screen TV I wasn't looking for a Smart TV, 3D, or anything like that. I wanted a TV with a great picture, good sound, fabulous style, and wasn't difficult to set up. This model fully satisfied all those needs.
