Summary: If you are not sold on the inflated price of the LED LCD version, this tv is well worth the money. The tv is 4" thick maximum. If you are concerned about it not being thin enough for the room, your room is too small for a tv! Save the money you would have spent on the LED and buy a Blu-Ray player with the tv. The tv is light weight, has extremely vivid colors, and has an attractive finish to it.
GREAT tv, dead after 3 months!!! (update 3/19/2011)
1 June 2010
Summary: First off, i'm not going to berate Samsung quality as all my previous LCDs have been Samsung and they've worked wonderfully. I'm extremely disappointed that this tv only lasted about 3 months before i got the infamous "tv turns on and off repeatedly" issue. I spent months researching my next TV only to be out of luck during the Memorial day weekend, the TV failed me on Friday (what luck!). When the TV is working, it is GORGEOUS.
Summary: As with any major purchase it is wise to do your homework, especially when there are so many choices available to you. I definitely feel I made the right decision when I purchased the Samsung LN46B750. The impressive contrast ratio and vivid colors that this TV delivers are quite stunning. I recently tested the LN46B750 with the newly released Avatar DVD and was very satisfied with its performance. The true blacks are as brilliant as the deep blues and bright greens.
Summary: I am simply "speechless" regarding the Picture Quality with just a few adjustments out of the box!! This Samsung set is simply gorgeous with it's glossy wet black piano like finish, not to mention how good it looks even when turned off! This set has many real world usable features in store for you, plus a ton of options for customizing the picture to suit your preferences.
Summary: I spent about 6 months reviewing LCD TV's and narrowed my search down to the Samsung and the Sony XBR. I opted for the Samsung because it was a "little" bit more bearable on costs and the few bucks saved bought me some other tech goodies that I am using in concert with my new Samsung LCD. The XBR isn't bad though. I just went with my gut after my research.
Wondeful TV from Amazon Warehouse - Save money! Buy Amazon!
Brandon L. Addington "Brandon!", Amazon
14 March 2010
Summary: I have been looking for a TV for a long time. I, like everyone else, compared a couple of TV's countlessly for hours to see which would be the best for me. I decided to go with the 750 due to the great reviews by CNET and other customers. It was time for me to pick a place to buy it from. I had 2 choices. Amazon or Best Buy. I chose Amazon for the money I would save. I had the item in my carts for months, wanting to get it, but never making the purchase.
Summary: I spend my professional time doing video production, and I spent over 35 yrs. as a Professional photographer, so I know a little about quality images, and this is like going from an old Polaroid to a Kodachrome slide !! Having watched everyone else's HD home units, I decided it was time to make the move myself, and WOW !
Summary: I have been a Sony TV fan for years but when I began shopping for HDTVs, it was clear that the torch had been passed to Samsung. Go to a Best Buy or other big box store and look at the screens from 50-100 feet away and you will quickly conclude that Samsung's always have the brighest image. Over a year ago I bought a 62" DLP for the "theater room" in the basement, and just a few weeks ago I picked up the LN46B750 to mount over our fireplace in the family room.
