Summary: I purchased this TV in July of 2009, and it worked flawlessly until May 2010. During that time, the TV was excellent. Great Picture quality. Also of note, Amazon's delivery and service were exemplary as always. Unfortunately this is where the good things I have to say about this TV end. I have had a defect with my Television where it acts as if it is constantly receiving input from the buttons or remote.
Summary: If you are not sold on the inflated price of the LED LCD version, this tv is well worth the money. The tv is 4" thick maximum. If you are concerned about it not being thin enough for the room, your room is too small for a tv! Save the money you would have spent on the LED and buy a Blu-Ray player with the tv. The tv is light weight, has extremely vivid colors, and has an attractive finish to it.
Summary: I looked at a LOT of HD TVs before I bought one, and long ago decided I wanted 120Hz because the 60Hz ones were so blurry during motion. I had decided I liked the Samsung ones feature-wise, but didn't at all like the touch of red bezel on the models I liked. I watched the prices and features of TVs for over a year. When I saw Amazon's price for this TV, and it had 240Hz, and was touch of grey ... I just couldn't wait any longer.
Summary: First off, i'm not going to berate Samsung quality as all my previous LCDs have been Samsung and they've worked wonderfully. I'm extremely disappointed that this tv only lasted about 3 months before i got the infamous "tv turns on and off repeatedly" issue. I spent months researching my next TV only to be out of luck during the Memorial day weekend, the TV failed me on Friday (what luck!). When the TV is working, it is GORGEOUS.
Summary: Okay, I've only had this TV for about 1-2 weeks so this will be a first impressions review. I'm stepping up from Westinghouse TX-42F430S 42-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV that I purchased 2 years ago, so this is a HUGE difference for me. Picture: This TV is beautiful. Going from 60 Hz to 240 was a huge jump for me and a lot of my shows just look so much smoother now. You can manually adjust these settings too, although I haven't gotten into that much yet.
Summary: I am not going to pretend to be a tech junkie or expert but as a common man customer who does plenty of research before buying products, I love this TV. It's clarity and definition are fantastic and simply said, I have loved it!
Summary: I have the Samsung 46" LCD TV for just over a year and it has failed. I spent almost $2,000 on my Samsung LCD TV and it barely lasted a year. Google "Samsung on off problem" and you will find thousands of other Samsung TV owners that have tv's that don't work because Samsung refused to fix their own defect and told their customers to take a hike. All of them failing in less than 2-years.
Summary: As with any major purchase it is wise to do your homework, especially when there are so many choices available to you. I definitely feel I made the right decision when I purchased the Samsung LN46B750. The impressive contrast ratio and vivid colors that this TV delivers are quite stunning. I recently tested the LN46B750 with the newly released Avatar DVD and was very satisfied with its performance. The true blacks are as brilliant as the deep blues and bright greens.
