Summary: If you are not sold on the inflated price of the LED LCD version, this tv is well worth the money. The tv is 4" thick maximum. If you are concerned about it not being thin enough for the room, your room is too small for a tv! Save the money you would have spent on the LED and buy a Blu-Ray player with the tv. The tv is light weight, has extremely vivid colors, and has an attractive finish to it.
Summary: I spend my professional time doing video production, and I spent over 35 yrs. as a Professional photographer, so I know a little about quality images, and this is like going from an old Polaroid to a Kodachrome slide !! Having watched everyone else's HD home units, I decided it was time to make the move myself, and WOW !
Excellent LCD, but Samsung needs to work on a few things...

Summary: As others have said, this TV is excellent. Forget the marketing talk of 150,000:1 contrast ratio etc. All you need to know is that as of August, 2009, there are very few TVs that beat this set in terms of black level. (local dimming LED LCD TVs, and a few high-end plasmas to be precise, and even then - only just!). I'm going to focus more on what the issues are with this TV, bearing in mind that I think this is an excellent set. 1.) Gaming lag.
Summary: I have been a Sony TV fan for years but when I began shopping for HDTVs, it was clear that the torch had been passed to Samsung. Go to a Best Buy or other big box store and look at the screens from 50-100 feet away and you will quickly conclude that Samsung's always have the brighest image. Over a year ago I bought a 62" DLP for the "theater room" in the basement, and just a few weeks ago I picked up the LN46B750 to mount over our fireplace in the family room.
Summary: Bought this baby this week and it's worked very well right out of the box. They must have tuned up the colorization lately, because we aren't tempted to adjust the factory settings, so far. Motion is superb, no hazy transitions on fast moving stuff, we bought it for the 240hz refresh and it delivers as promised.
Summary: I spent about 6 months reviewing LCD TV's and narrowed my search down to the Samsung and the Sony XBR. I opted for the Samsung because it was a "little" bit more bearable on costs and the few bucks saved bought me some other tech goodies that I am using in concert with my new Samsung LCD. The XBR isn't bad though. I just went with my gut after my research.
Summary: Let me say that this TV is one of the best in the market for the price point. The pros are too many to list and so far has been a great choice as far as features and performance. I'm an early adapter for HDTV in 03 going from a Zenith C32V37 RP CRT (4:3); which unfortunately is getting replaced due to a humming power supply.
Summary: This is the first TV I've ever purchased and it's a great buy. I was hoping to read some professional reviews before I bought this, but with the Amazon $300 coupon being a limited time offer and my 6x points (basically a 6% cash back) on my Amazon card ending at the end of this month, I had to take advantage of this opportunity now. I think I made a good choice.
