Don't buy Samsung LCD TV
Larry G, Amazon

Summary: My Samsung 46" LCD TV is starting to get colored vertical lines on the screen. The lines are multiplying and growing in length. This TV is less tahn 3 years old. I called Samsung because I saw on-line that this is a very common problem with Samsung TV's. Samsung will not stand behind their product so I guess my only option is to put this TV out for garbage collection. Their ECR dept.
Summary: Bought this t.v. in late 2009 for $1500. It now has picture problems. The screen is missing horizontal lines and there is a series of colored lines that extend vertically through the picture. I'll have to fix it myself or purchase a new one...I've read that the ribbon cables or the t-c board is faulty. ef-it.
Summary: We bought this tv 3 years ago and were happy with it until this week. We started noticing vertical lines running through the television. Two days later the tv is unwatchable, with vertical lines and yellow and green color in the middle 2/3 of the screen. Awful. Samsung customer service was not helpful. They just reminded us that we were out of our warranty period. Searching online we have found that this is not an uncommon problem with this particular tv.
Summary: Please don't waste your money on this TV. If you do buy it, get the maximum warranty because my $1500 Samsung LN46B650 lasted nearly 3 1/2 years. I only purchased a 3 yr warranty but I understand there was also a 4 yr warranty. I've had better picture and especially sound quality on other TV's and they have lasted a minimum of 10 years without any extended warranty. If I were you, I'd invest my hard earned dollars in a different manufacturer/model.
Summary: I have had this TV for just over 2 years and it started having vertical color bluring and image ghosting. Checked online and found hundereds of other people with the same TV that are having the same issue. Called Samsung and was told too bad since it was outside of their warranty. $1400 is a lot of money to spend on a TV that only last 2 years; It's a lot of money to give to a company that doesn care if you are happy with their product; it's a lot of money to give to a...
Summary: I also have this the issue noted from many of the the other reviewers. Just after two years this TV started with all the banding. It sounds like Samsung is not going to step up and admit that this TV has this problem and give us a fix. I have the previous model Samsung to this one also, and it is still going strong. After this one failed and the all the other reviewers who's also failed I will not be replacing it with another Samsung.
Went bad after a little over 2 years after purchase

Summary: Purchased the television for $1,864.98 from another online retailer on 06/05/09. Currently the television goes into a power loop if you turn the TV off then back on. Communicated the problem to Samsung and was told I'm not covered by warranty after which I was linked to a search for repair shops in my area.
Summary: Bought this TV in January 2010 for over $1,300. This evening I heard a loud popping noise, the screen went black and the TV power light does not go on. Waiting for a service technician to call to give an estimate on repairs. Will repost estimate.
Summary: I love this TV. I was worried about how long it would last. I am hoping for 5 years at least. So far it looks to be on it's way to 2 years in January and hopefully that's not even the half way point in it's lifespan! Beautiful picture! EDIT: TV is almost 2.5 years old, and been lightly used. It still works. This is good.
