Summary: I've been watching the prices and researching HDTVs for a couple of years, waiting for prices to come down on the higher quality units. When Amazon had this TV for $650.00 with free delivery, I finally jumped. I have had my eye on Samsung TVs for quite awhile. Most reviews I've read have been positive for the Samsung brand, and so far I've been very satisfied. PROs: -Great crisp video quality!! Graphics pop and even smaller text is easy to read.
Summary: I chose this TV mainly because of my prior positive experience with a Samsung LN52A750, which I purchased 21 months ago from Amazon and am still very happy with. I purchased this LN40C630 for my bedroom and it fits in just right size-wise. After two weeks of use, I have not been disappointed with either the picture or other performance aspects. I set it to Movie Mode and Warm2 Picture Mode, which seem to suit my tastes for natural-looking colors.
Summary: This is my first HDTV and I totally love it. Not that I have a trizillion others to compare to and be a professional rater but I haven't come across any bad points on this TV as yet. Works just good with awesome picture quality so far. Touch Wood! (I got my renters insurance kicked in as well). The TV came in in due time as promised by amazon and in perfect condition. The delivery guys were even able to install and test the TV for me before they left.
Summary: I am very satisfied with this TV thus far. We replaced a 42 inch Vizio which failed after almost exactly 2 years. Needless to say, I was simmering mad. $1400. down the toilet. But I digress. Anyway, after lots of research this Samsung just beat the pack in specs and consumer reviews (the only ones that matter). The price was almost half what I paid for the Vizio and with a 120Hz refresh rate it is a very good bargain.
Summary: I purchased this LCD due to the fact that it had great reviews. It is really a great LCD, with good picture and sound, BUT it performs the best when it has HD (High Definition) programming. Otherwise, the picture is kind of bad and it has a greenish tint all over. Get this LCD only if you have HD programming, otherwise you will be kind of disappointed.
Summary: First of all, this TV is beautiful, even before turning it on, you can see this is a great design with a clean, contemporary style that compares to what the ipod did for the mp3 player. The stand is also great, with a nice swivel and sleek look. While some may say the aesthetics of a tv don't matter much, it The picture is impressive with 1080i television and 1080p movies/xbox. I'm sure it can be better, but you will never notice unless you have a (...
Not a bad tv but I wonder if anyone has the same problem as us?

Excerpt: We bought this tv not too long ago, mainly because my other half wanted a big tv that he could plug his xbox, pc and ps3 in to. We bought it from currys for £499 earlier on this year. We bought this tv because samsung is a brand we trust and when we asked about it seemed to be the best rated brand, but I've got to say we have noticed a little problem with ours.
If you want quality picture using HD capabilities and several functionalities - I recommend this.

Excerpt: This is my first ever 40" LCD TV and investing a bit of money for it is quite a gamble. However, this TV has an amazing picture and bright colors! It also has a lot of input and output options and you can hook up almost anything. Playstation, stereo, VCR, Blueray player, a flash drive and it still has a lot of connections available. This is also the smallest flat panel I could find with full 1080 HD capability, at least from where I bought it.
