Summary: Best bang for the buck 40" TV in this lineup from the time and for the price.
Pros: Overall this TV is exactly what I had hoped to be. I was looking specifically at a 40" TV for my entertainment center. After having luck with our 61" Samsung DLP, I looked at Samsung as well as all other competitors. The picture is one of the best for the range of TV's and competitors. Crisp, cle...
Cons: Not much I can think of. I wish it had built in WiFi but thats the next step up (LN40C650), but the glossy screen wouldnt work well with the light in the room.
Summary: I've had this TV now for about 8 months. I researched TVs for quite some time before settling on . . . . a Panasonic Plasma. Then I went to Best Buy and looked at televisions for a half an hour. Then I went to Walmart. Then I went to Target.
Pros: As stated in the review title, I find this set to have an excellent picture (once properly adjusted) and a very reasonable price for the quality purchased. Straight out of the box I conducted a dead pixel search, but found none, so I moved on to set-up and getting all of my sources connected. Set...
Cons: Not a huge fan of the solid glass foot that the TV sits on as it procludes use of the TV on top of a cable box or Stereo as it would block ventalation of any device it sat on. No other issues come to mind.
Summary: Not web ready, but with a PC monitor input I have been using this as a second display for gaming or web use. Simcity 4 Rush Hour is simply amazing on this screen as any other PC game would be.
Pros: Clear and crisp picture, accurate and bold color all add to the quality of this screen. Those of us that pay attention to the model numbers of screens will get a bonus. This looks like lower model numbers of the Samsung line, but this one has better contrast ratio and a lower response time than o...
Summary: On a side note with the C varient, I question manufacturing assembly processes, no other clear differences between TOC varients besides additional feature set or a better tuner, this alone should not cause issues with uniformity of the screen.
Pros: Excellent gamut widely adjustible to taste, feature rich, Picture quality is at par for the series, the built in HD tuner does a good job upscaling lower level formats, setting this TV to your tastes takes little to no time if your not picky.
Cons: The gamut of this TV on AA02-05 panels leaves the screen saturated out of the box, can be a pain for some, properly setup the picture is on par. Uniformity problems and 3 sets later I still have uniformity issues with this model, however able to produce good grey scale, leaves alot left to be des...
Summary: After friend came over he was just looking and noticed 1 dead pixel but not a egg drop I didn't even notice it until a friend was just looking really close but for what I got it for and the fact I don't even notice the dead pixel not a deal or a egg dropper at all
Pros: The pros when I saw this on newegg was I could believe the deal 699.99 for a 40" LCD TV and have it be 120 hz great deal!!!!! Looks beautiful and I enjoy it!!! Works great.
Cons: Not really a con but just something that I guess would be but not a egg dropper for me at all noticed one dead pixel that was about it but this thing how big it is and how of a good deal I got it for no problem for me I guess only for those that are that picky to notice it took my friend to get r...
Summary: All around an amazing buy and would recommend it to anyone
Pros: I've had The Samsung LN40C630K1F for about a year and I would say it is an all around great product. This High Definition LCD TV features a swivel base so that it can be viewed from any angle. This is great for me since I’m constantly switching back and forth between my bed and my chair to use th...
Cons: The only thing I would’ve enjoyed is if this series included the wireless and Samsung apps that the newer versions include.
