Summary: I've had this TV now for about 8 months. I researched TVs for quite some time before settling on . . . . a Panasonic Plasma. Then I went to Best Buy and looked at televisions for a half an hour. Then I went to Walmart. Then I went to Target. After all that time just staring at screens (and killing more than a few brain cells in the process), I landed on this baby. Amazon had a deal I just couldn't pass up so I jumped into the brave new world of Hi Def.
Summary: I was already happy about this TV when it was delivered less than 24 hours after I ordered it, even though I chose my Prime free 2-day delivery. I got it out of the box and set it up myself, and I'm a female college student. So, it's definitely nothing someone with a tad bit of muscle can't manage to do yourself. However, I would still consider it heavy so don't try to do it yourself if you think you're gonna drop it.
Summary: I bought this 40 inch, which would fit inside my existing furniture, and it is beautiful. In regular broadcasts (haven't upgraded to HD yet) the picture is excellent. Viewing a Blueray disk, it is incredible. Great, great tv. I gave sound a 4 but I don't expect fantastic sound from a flat screen tv.
Summary: This tv is an all around good purchase. its very stylish and it has features that i didnt even know existed. there is no way that i could tell that it was refurbished at all. i have always heard that samsungs were among the top of the line in tv but this is really amazing and especially that its an LCD.
400 lb Panasonic HDTV Replaced by light Samsung LCD TV
Harvey Muller, Amazon
28 December 2010
Summary: We had a LARGE bulky HDTV in the living room for a couple years now. I had been watching LCD tv pricing for awhile and finally made the buy decision for this Christmas holiday. Despite the Samsung's larger screen, the room feels larger again with the huge cathode ray HDTV absent. These are my subjective observations about the Samsung LCD TV: Physical Appearance. It is just as handsome in the home as it is in the store. Ease of Setup. The TV is basically plug and play.
Summary: I've been watching the prices and researching HDTVs for a couple of years, waiting for prices to come down on the higher quality units. When Amazon had this TV for $650.00 with free delivery, I finally jumped. I have had my eye on Samsung TVs for quite awhile. Most reviews I've read have been positive for the Samsung brand, and so far I've been very satisfied. PROs: -Great crisp video quality!! Graphics pop and even smaller text is easy to read.
Summary: I have no regrets about this purchase. First off I was a little hesitant purchasing a big ticket item from amazon.com but since I have had nothing but great experiences with amazon I took the chance. Delivery was quicker than I expected and the driver set up the TV (I requested the set up to check for damage and to make sure it was not DOA). Five stars as usual for Amazon. Now for the TV..
Summary: I received this TV yesterday to replace my Samsung 720 60hz unit that is moving upstairs to the bedroom and all I can say is WOW!!! Even though my cable box only has a 720 output, the picture on this TV is NOTICEABLY more clear and crisp than the 720 60hz! So for those of you wondering if the 120hz is worth the upcharge, I thought I would let you know that *I* certainly feel like it is!
