Amazing, even compared to the C550!

Excerpt: I got a great deal on this television in January '10, and it has been nothing but a pleasure since the moment I hooked it up. The color quality is outstanding and coupled with a Blu-ray player the images are supurb. With the advent of the C550, there is a good chance you will be reading this review wondering the difference, so I will lay it out for you. Like the C550, the B550 is only 60hz. Samsung's TV's don't hit 120hz until the 600-series models.
Excerpt: After years of searching for a new HDTV and waiting patiently for the price to drop into the price range I was comfortable with, I finally settled on this TV. 40" was the perfect size for my room and could easily be adapted into a living room TV if I needed it to be. 1080p looks great and all the TV shows, movies, and video games look amazing on this set. Apart from the great colors and easy to view from anywhere in the room visibility, I have had no problems...
Excerpt: I had been eyeing upgrading to an HDTV of some sort for about three years. I had been researching and dreaming about it for the whole time. Samsung was always on the top of my list, and when they came out with this model, which has a lot of features for a comparatively reasonable price tag I finally decided to take the plunge. I couldn't have been any happier with my decision. The picture quality is awesome! I have watched blu rays on my television and it looks SO good!
Excerpt: "The Samsung LE - 40B550 is not only Amazing in Looks it has amazing picture quality and great sound quality aswell. It is definately and improvement to the last television i had. I have it linked up to Sky HD Box, A Sony DVD recorder, An Xbox 360 and there is still pleanty of room for more with lots of HDMI and Scart sockets, plus the normal Coax sockets. There is a smart touch panel on the tv just to add to the stylish design of the television . ...
Summary: We paid £700 for this TV from Littlewoods catalogue two years ago as we needed a TV for our first home. It arrived in the biggest box ever and was really well packaged. It came with various wires, remote control (with free batteries), cleaning cloth, instructions and even a user manual on a free USB drive!
It was fairly easy to unbox and once we did so we placed it on the LCD TV stand we purchased especially for the Samsung TV.
Summary: I don't understand much about techical aspects of tvs but I am very please with this one. Good sound and image. Takes a little while to start up once you press the start button and it makes a pretty loud "start up noise". The same when you switch it of but you get used to it. Looks beautiful and is easy to assemble.
Summary: Just taken delivery of my new Le40. Great TV great price. Out the box (and it is not too heavy) you'll need to assemble the stand if you plan to use it. Remember to have a long handled screwdriver handly to fit a couple of screws. Plug in your aerial and other devices, switch on and after answering a few questions bingo! you are up and running. Tuning is simple and fast. Key concern here is the picture quality.
