Excerpt: 1st place, the overall picture of this LCD is great, but there are problems 1) the viewing angle is terrible! the search for the dead is good, but move slightly left or right and the picture begins to wash the colors and strange things happen in the brightness and contrast. 2) there is a problem with a kind of phantom, it can still be seen on Xbox 360 and Blu-ray, the two are connected to the TV via HDMI, I watched Tears of the Sun and part of the film is a conversation...
Summary: I also have a Samsung 58PN560 to compare to, so..... The color is great out of the box, whereas i fiddled with the plasma a lot more. The matte screen does a great job of limiting reflections in a sunny room with a big picture window. I don't know if they make many models any more with a matte screen, but I would highly recommend it. Watched half of the superbowl on the TV and noticed no streaking or blurring of motion of any kind.
Summary: After getting the TV set up and figuring out how to use it, we enjoyed 2 nights of watching high def tv, then the screen went dark. The company I was directed to for service could not come for a week. We decided to haul it ourselves to another authorized service center. We had to pick it up and then set it up again. It was a bit discouraging, hope it's not the beginning of a trend. It looks great....for today...
Summary: This is out third LCD tv from Samsung that we ordered and we are very happy with it. We love the sleek black design and easy to swivel stand. Putting it together was a breeze and it was working within 10 minutes. We have a set in Samsung's Touch of Red line which has a constant blue light under the center of the tv that could be annoying - this set has the same blue light when it first turns on and off and that's it. Yeah.
Summary: i just replaced a new 32" samsung with this 40" model, wanted the larger screen size. the picture is excellent (with a little tweaking); clear, sharp, bright. my only regret...this model (unlike the 32") has no headphone out, so i can not use my powered speakers AND control volume/muting. the internal speakers are, as usual, the weak link (again, made better with some serious tweaking). price just went up on this, but worth it.
Summary: This is a great TV. The only thing that I found disappointing is the particular model I purchased did not come with the side inputs for hooking up my digital camera or camcorder etc. Getting to the back of the TV is an inconvenience and it also results in less input options. It's my first flat screen so I wasn't aware that this would be an issue.
Summary: I bought this tv to replace a 22" Vizio, it is my second HDTV. I just want to say that this TV has risen to all my needs. While it is only 60hz, the motion blur is not terribly visible. The screen has great color and the contrast is just incredible. I used a calibration disk on it and it looks awesome. If you are looking for a great 40" tv for less $, buy this one. It does not disapoint. The only reason I gave this tv 4 stars is because nothing is perfect.
Excerpt: "...other manufacturers had accomplished before, samsung has really caught up and delivered.. 1080p, usb media support, better user interface and a much better cabinet design, even the base was sturdier, bit heavy though.. attaching the tv to the wall was pretty easy, it took us half an hour... being on the wall really improves the viewing pleasure, even, when we sat on the side we could watch the whole picture..very helpful when u got a family in the ...
Pros: usb media support, 1080p picture quality
Cons: touch sensitive on the bottom not very responsive, have 2 use the remote . more usb ports would hlp
Very neat and big TV for only a few hundred pounds, great buy in my view

Excerpt: After having a 30inch smaller LCD Samsung TV I have always been thinking of upgrading to something bigger. Recently one of my friends had bought a new TV and happened to be this Samsung which i am writing this review about. I never like buying things before I have tried them out or at least seen them in real life so after going around his house seeing and checking this TV out I was pretty pleased.
Summary: I've owned several Samsung products, and have never failed to be disappointed with them- great specs and poor performance tend to make them a "jack of all trades, master of none" in my opinion. I did my research, not only on this model, but on their TVs generally, and all reviewers and owners were generally positive so, with some trepidation, I purchased the LE40B530P. The setup procedure was very straightforward, and each step was very well explained onscreen.
