Summary: Got this as a gift for my friend (who is a gamer) like 3 years ago, and it's still running perfectly. According to him, 37 inches is just the perfect size if you're going to be sitting a few feet away from it. It's a basic entry-level TV without any special features, but it serves its purpose quite well. Nice punchy colors and solid black levels. Whites look bright and clean. Very high contrast, almost nearly as good as plasma.
Summary: It took me a while to get the color and sound settings set exactly right, because the default settings didn't cut it for me, but now I believe that this TV surpasses the quality of other TVs in this size and price range. I had bought a refurbished unit and noticed a technical problem as soon as I recieved it.
Summary: We purchased this HDTV as a gift for our parents. We needed a 37-inch to fit their current TV set-up. I carefully read all the reviews and picked this HDTV because the other reviews were so good, making special note of the ease of remote operation and sound quality - both very important when considering the needs of our 80-years young parents. My husband set the HDTV up himself and it was easy to do so.
Summary: Overall I love the T.V. The colors are excellent and it display's both high definition and standard definition signal's wonderfully. The ability to plug in a USB flash drive and watch movies or pictures is a nice touch. The largest compliant I have is the inverter board. Since I bought the T.V. it's had a loud buzzing sound coming from it when the picture was dark, such as a dark scene during a movie. I called Samsung and they had someone come out.
Summary: Great TV - owned for about a month. Shipping was fast. It has a vivid picture that, in my opinion, beats those of some of the larger Samsungs I have seen. A five star TV for sure, but the only con I have found: it has three, instead of four, HDMI cables. I got this TV after researching the more affordable Vizios, but the Vizio sound problem made me steer clear of that brand. Some people complain about Samsung's speakers - yet I have no complaints.
