Summary: Works great, purchased new over a year ago, still kicking strong. Has lived through been dropped twice, toddler fingers, and toddler slapping and still in perfect condition. I am currently using this as my computer monitor, great resolution and sound quality for playing MMOs.
Summary: I purchased this item because of a Consumer Report Rating. It is everything I expected, and more. As I have DIRECTV, a quandry arose whether or not the feed should be by air or cable, as there is no input for satellite, and on my old TV the sat feed inputted to cable. 'Decided on air and is working great, perhaps Samsung could address this in the written instruction or on the Emanual.
Summary: I purchased this 32" Samsung about 5 months ago based on the Consumers Reports review, the reviews here on Amazon, and my positive past experience with Samsung products. So far, this HDTV has met my expectations.
Summary: Considered this model because of good Consumer Reports reviews, particularly the sound quality. Right out of the box, I could tell the sound quality was better than most flat screens. This model is not ultra-thin, so the speakers can be bigger and point down, rather than back. Spent some time getting the picture settings to my liking. The defaults are too vivid and have too much contrast to be realistic to my eye.
Summary: Seems to be a great TV, except for: 1) The Red Audio component audio port appears to be out of spec. Tried 3 different audio cables that worked on my previous TV and none will fit the red component audio port - which I need to connect to DVD and VCR player. The white and yellow ports are fine. And the red composite audio port is fine. 2) Haven't gotten audio out to work, to the receiver. 3) And no video out to record on existing equipment.
