Stay away from Samsung TV's
12 January 2014
Summary: We bought this TV 2 years ago. It died suddenly and won't power on. Apparently they used poor capacitors during manufacturing, which fail after a short while. There was a class action lawsuit regarding the issue.
Summary: Burned out after two years. Samsung's tech support said warranty was only for one year and we'd have to pay their local service shop. I called them and their recorded message said i had to first call Samsung for a repair number! Enough running around with Samsung, we will buy another company's TV...
Summary: I purchased 2 of these tvs for Christmas. I was very dissapointed. The picture was good but the sound was very bad. The sound worbled at a low and medium range and you could not get a loud volumn range at all. It was very difficult to understand what was being said.
Summary: Spent considerable time redesigning/rebuilding bookcase to accommodate our new upsize/upscale TV. Nice. Except that even with the sound turned up full we are left straining to hear. Incredible to me that a major brand could be so slipshod with so important a part of their product.
