Great HD ready if you are on a tight budget.

  • Excerpt: Samsung are riding high at the moment and although it seems to be their mobile phones which are stealing the limelight just now, we must not forget that they have been building quality televisions for several years now. This 26 inch TV with built in Freeview does not disappoint and from day one, all it needs for you is to plug it in and switch it on. After that it literally sets everything up itself and is so simple a five year old could do it.

  • Excerpt: In an age where XBox and PlayStation 3 are both offering high definition pictures, HD ready TV's are increasing in popularity and I can definitely see why the Samsung LE-26R74BDX has. The LCD TV has a sleek look and is compact enough so as to not take up too much space wherever you choose to place it. I personally have mine in my bedroom and it sits subtly atop my check of drawers level with my bed, giving me excellent viewing and not taking up huge amounts of space.

A Great TV

  • Excerpt: I have this TV in my bedroom and I absolutely love it. It is Samsung TV and the screen size is 26" which is quite a small sized TV for a main TV compared to today's sizes, but if you don't want a big one, or want it for as a smaller one as a second TV for a smaller room then then it's perfect. It is HD ready with 720p, which isn't the highest HD available, which is 1080p, however most people will be more than happy with 720p, it depends on how many HD devices (e.g.
  • Pros: great picture, HD ready, freeview
  • Cons: only 26"

Excellent TV

  • Excerpt: I bought this TV in Oct 06 to replace an aging 14” portable which was on its last legs, and my first impressions were great. The look and build quality is excellent, it’s easy to set up and tunes itself in and the picture quality is excellent. In the time that I have had this TV I can say I’m pretty pleased with it. It automatically updates the firmware when new updates are released, like the last one to improve the speed of changing channels.
  • Pros: Great picture & build quality
  • Cons: Sound sometimes goes funny

  • Excerpt: The 1st LCD television i've bought and it's brilliant. I use it as a television and monitor for my pc. The quality of the picture is brilliant far better than most other 26" lcd's sony being the only other screen that comes close to this. I use a DVI - HDMI cable from my pc to the lcd to use it as a monitor it is brilliant plays games perfectly no lag or ghosting. Plays HD videos from my pc at 720p and they are stunning.
  • Pros: All round brilliant and cheap
  • Cons: You may aswell buy the 32" now for its price !

  • Excerpt: i bought this product from costco as they were offering a 3 year warranty as opposed to the 1 year standard warranty offered anywhere else. i paid £650 GBP for this product and its the best £650 i have spent, picture quality is superb from almost any angle and as far as value for money goes, it rates way high in the scale.

HD Ready for £450 from Samsung?! Excellent!

  • Excerpt: Having browsed the LCD market for months upon months i finally decided to buy the Samsung 26" R74 HD Ready LCD TV after seeing it on Display in John Lewis, so i got a price match from be-direct for £450. I was aware of the bad sound volume levels on this TV at the time of prurchase. But don't let that put you of, stunning HD Picture Quailty (on my Samsung HDMI upscaling DVD Player) and built in freeview.
  • Pros: Good Looking, Lots of connections and cheap
  • Cons: Sound

Samsung LE26R74B - Excellent Value for money

  • Excerpt: SUMMARY I bought this television from an online retailer at Christmas as a replacement for my 14 inch portable television. I was immediately suprised by the weight of it, it's incredibly light at around 10kg which is less than similar sized screens from other manufacturers. I think this television is fantastic quality, and exceptional value for money, I had paid £480 for the TV and have since seen it available for around £440.
