Summary: A great TV, no problems at all regarding HDTV and such. My only word of warning is a disclaimer by Samsung on this and similar models. It does not support DVI from your Computer's Graphics card. Consoles and normal DVD/Blue Rays are fine as they have HDMI connections. Even using HDMI-DVI connector will not help you, neither will any changes to your PC settings, it's a hardware issue on the TV.
Summary: For - Easy to assemble and set up. Robust and stable chassis and excellent screen. Looks handsome when switched off. Great picture. Very good value at £239 delivered from Amazon. Against - Slow to change channels, you can wait 2 or 3 seconds after pressing the button. Sound is a bit tinny but OK if you boost the bass. Controls are a bit fussy.
Summary: I love this TV, but I paid waaaay too much for it. I paid £500 from Comet just over a year ago, and was gutted to see it online for practically half that. Anyway, to the TV. It has a great picture, pretty good sound, and looks cool. I use it for my PC, my Wii and Ps2. It performs brilliantly with everything I've tried on it though. Despite this, I only give it a 4, because it has no freeview built in.
Excerpt: "...because I always like a Samsung brand. Of course it wasn't only one reason :) First impression is very good: nice black frame, functional stand and lack of buttons on frony panel. First let's see at technical specification. Well again we see so called "HD Ready" TV :( it sad that people still thinks that 1366x768 is a HD resolution) This is connected with PC TFT technology (you taking standard PC resolution 4:3 1024x768 and streetching it to ...
Pros: price, image quality, overall look
Cons: not a standard 720p resolution, sound quality
Summary: After purchasing a ps3 i went searching for an hdtv for my bedroom. I looked at most tv's and by far i found this to be superior. This tv was far cheaper than most and when i recieved my tv i was immediatly impressed with the look of it. It looks great and so does the picture. The HD picture is fantastic on a console and after 2 weeks im still amazed at its quality. I also noticed the huge amount of inputs at the back, it has even more than i expected on a 23" tv.
Great tv but cannot use this for dual screen on a pc
29 May 2007
Summary: I have a dual screen setup for my pc, but my dell lcd tv/ moitor blew so I decided to buy a new one. As a tv its great I have no complaints. But connection wise for a pc it only has a d-sub VGA connector and no DVI. My has both connections which is why i managed to have a dual screen setup, but adding the samsung means that i cannot use my other smaller remaining lcd monitor. i have tried several ways of fising the problem but it will not work.
Samsung i salute your tvs not your reliability - GREAT SET
Mr. C. Wellburn "Wellburn and son", Amazon

Summary: Having got this t.v christmas 2006 as a bedroom set to go with my xbox 360 and i can say it is a great set, happily accepting 720p and 1080i signals via my xbox 360. It must be the first tv ive seen to crack the "bedroom market" of people who want a hd ready set to accomadate their xbox 360 or ps3 however dont have the space for large screens.
Summary: Ok, evrybody else has done the hard work and they've all given accurate descriptions. I've not seen this running with an HD source yet. Some DVD's do tend to blur a little during fast motion but this seems to be due to a poor quality DVD print. On a good DVD print such as the remastered 2001: a space odessy the picture is absolutely stunning. PS2 played through scart is very good but through component input it's fantastic.
Excerpt: "I bought this TV so I could have it in my bedroom and play my PS3 through it. Although it is not a true HD 1080p screen it was still amazing to see the picture quality. Even using the standard SCART lead to play DVD's through the TV on a normal DVD player the picture was crisp and very well defined. It made ordinary DVD's look even better than they are. Connect an up-scaling DVD player through the HDMI and I define anyone not to have a smile on their ...
Pros: Good picture, 1080i, good size for a bedroom
Excerpt: "I bought my samsung 6 months ago around the time it was released. It was a very good investment. I was primarily looking for a High-Definition TV to play Xbox 360 games on. I chose Samsung as the xbox 360 was designed using Samsung TV's and all the demo pods use them. So I thought, this must be good for games and it was, there is even a game mode, which when you press a button adjusts the screen to suit gaming. Picture: The Samsung is fully HD ...
