Great tv, but volume on bezel is problematic
Jon Hellman, Amazon
1 March 2010
Summary: We have owned the TV for over a year now and throughly enjoy this TV. That said, there are two issues, one moderate to major and one minor that may prove problematic at a later date. The TV has the volume control as a touch panel on the right hand side. We use this frequently. The panel is not actual buttons, but some type of touch sensor. The last month the volume control has begun to act up. While watching, the volume will go begin climbing to max volume.
Summary: I have owned this Television for One Year (One year and One day, actually). It has been great up until today. Almost like a timer (1day after the manufacturer warranty ran out), a line appeared on the screen. UNBELIEVABLE... one day after the warranty. However, I did buy the NEW warranty plan (4 year) and called them and they are setting up the repairman to come to my home.
Summary: I have had my set for almost a full year now. I have found a couple of problems that could have made this a great tv. * The first thing i want to point out is that the PIP (Picture in Picture) sucks like there's now tomorrow, you can only use it to watch RF signal, which means that if you're on your HDMI and want to watch HDMI/DVI 2 at the same time you can't.
Excerpt: I actually started out with the Sony KDL-40W100 Bravia and I was pretty disappointed. I had it for two days and thought you know, if I'm going to spend this kind of money, I want to be atleast satisfied with my purchase. Need less to say I wasn't with the Sony. So, I boxed it up and took it to Video Only where they were glad to excange it for something else. That something else was the Samsung LN40A650. Let me just start out by sayin' the cabinet is lil hideous.
Summary: Good, fast delivery, works well, amazing picture, the extra ability that allows you access content through Samsung through a internet connection does not have much value for me (rather connect to a computer and view full web content). My son likes to play WOW on it while sitting 4 feet from the screen.
Summary: I got this tv about a month ago and am very satisfied with it! Its got a beautiful design and the picture quality is fantastic! I haven't had the chance to try out all the features but my cousin has the same tv and his features are awesome, especially the infolink. This is a terrific buy and folks, if you're looking for a tv of great quality with lots of features, this is your best bet! I only wish I would've gotten a bigger size, possibly a 52" or so.
Summary: The picture quality of this tv is outstanding and it has lots of cool features. Great purchase for the price. The only negative is, the audio could be improved, but it's still pretty good audio.
Summary: Did not plan on purchasing this tv but the picture jumped out at store compared to all others. Was sure it was a plasma and was surprised to find it was an LCD. Had some concerns about glare and motion blur. No motion blur that I could detect at all. Have watched football, tennis and basketball and the images were terrific.
Pros: Attractive Design, Bright Image, Fast Setup, Good Connection Options, Good Resolution, Simple Controls
