With accurate color and great black levels, the Samsung HL61A750 is an amazing TV. Due to the size and technology, it doesn't come cheap but don't let that dissuade you. While it is big, it is also good. Read more
The HL61A750 is part of Samsung's Series 7 models, which feature this year's Cinema Pure Color Engine and use the Generation 2.3 LED light engine. The light source is rated for 60,000 hours while being Energy Star compliant. As expected, this set is rated to use a bit less energy, but what savings you'll see will surely depend on your viewing habits. Because of the long-lasting bulb, you won't have to replace the light source for the life of the TV. Read more
Editor’s Rating One of the few remaining digital light projection products in the market, the Samsung HL61A750 definitely outclasses its competition, even in the large LCD and plasma niches. This is one HDTV that gives superb performance right off-the box, has great features that rivals high-end TVs, and by far the cheapest in its size [...] Read more
After 16 months of bliss, the TV stopped displaying an image. I got a good deal on it, but to have it go out in a little over a year, is pretty disappointing. Amazon service was great. Delivery was great. TV seemed to be great, until it died. I replaced a 32in tube TV, that was about 15 years old, and it still worked. This was my first "big screen". I don't think I'll make another investment like this, nor will I be buying Samsung again. Read more
This LED DLP was rated #1 by Consumer Reports with better picture than LCD or Plasma. After seeing it I couldn't agree more. It is stunning. I did a lot of research before buying and am glad I took a chance on the LED DLP. No lamp to burn out and LEDs last life of TV. Can view it well from 70 degrees left or right. Deep blacks and great color. Gets 3D as well. Must buy a Samsung 61" or 65" to get the LED model and that is the only DLP I would ocnsider. Read more

I bought this TV for my mom. I wanted a large screen. I did not want to saddle my mom with the hassle of replacing light engine projection bulbs. The long life span of the LED light source and the very low energy consumption of the TV were strong selling points. The picture and signal processing far exceeded my expectations. It does a really fine job of upconverting non-HD channels, and a super job on HD. Read more

This set is amazing. Spend the time tweeking the color and contrast etc. and you will be thrilled at the result. Step up to really appreciate this TV - surround sound with a good A/V receiver, blu ray (playstation 3 is great) and a good HD signal from Dish Network or cable etc. This tv is the size of a window - a window on the world. Blu ray disks like "over Alaska" are astounding. Every day TV is a totally new experience. Basketball is like being there. Read more
I have to agree with Robin. Thousands of outraged Samsung DLP owners have come to seriously regret ever buying one. Samsung DLPs appear to have some major design flaws. The most common symptoms we encounter after 1-2 years are: 1) Set contiuously turns itself off 2) White or green dots begin appearing across screen 3) Ghosting, lines, or afterimages on screen (event though DLPs do not suffer burn-in) Read more
