    Wow! Great tv for the price. Sound is not that great, but if you have a home theatre it is really easy to connect everything and give it great sound. Picture is great. Read more

    For some strange reason I believed the shadow at only 1" would correct itself and even thought it was my HDMI cable/input or HD converter. As a result I waited until the shadow grew bigger and porked myself out of the warranty period. After many,many phone calls, Samsung agreed to repair the set for the light tunnel issue. After recently bringing the set in for repair it was discovered the DMD board is was also defective. Read more

    • Worked great for the first 9 months.
    • Purchased HLR5078W in 3/06. Unit was stricken with a shadow consuming 8" of the LH side of screen by 2/07. The shadow started out at 1" and progressively grew to 8".

  • White snow freckles or dots on HL50A650

    Bought a Samsung HL50A650 refurbished. Look fine now that the warranty is expired by 2month the Tv shows white dots/flakes on dark background, similar to TV snow but less dense i.e. spread , but always visible when dark background in the show or picture are there. Can you tell me whether this can be adjusted or repaired by doing WHAT?/
