Cons: I purchased this to set it as a small TV in the kids room. It stopped working after 35 days... Unlucky for that cause I could had exchange it with newegg if it was under 30 days. I have been battling with the warranty department of the Proscan for the last 3 month. Every time I call I get India w...
Summary: Other reviews said their units came with cosmetic damage, but I noticed no such damage to mine. I will update this after it has gotten more use, but it is perfect for the purpose I got it for.
Pros: Small enough to easily fit in dorm room/bedroom. Clearly labeled buttons on top of set if remote not available. Nice easy to use and hold remote. Clear picture.
Cons: Only grip is how bright the indicator light is at night. Which is pretty much a non issue since there will be a lot of lights in my dorm.
Summary: This is neither a pro or con, but I noticed that they sell random different models of this product. My first one had controls or the side of the screen and my second one had them on top. I really don't mind since they are both pretty good quality.
Pros: The price is amazing. I bought my first one at $99 and then a second one for $113. The price varies a bit, but it is still the cheapest, while still being the best quality refurb I've come across. Nothing about the TV was damaged when I received them
Cons: Speakers are garbage. Some screen bleed through.
Summary: I know it had some ruff reviews on sound. Personally I don't see the big issue with sound (But I have never owned a sound system) So in the room we use the TV in I don't have a problem with sound.
Pros: Full HD 1080P I have never owned a TV with 1080P and I can tell the difference for gaming! This TV is used for gaming and it works and looks Awesome. I really enjoy the nice crisp clear picture and the size is just great for the spare room I play games in.
Cons: It has Cosmetic Damage!! I bought it refurbished. The TV stand it comes with was REALLY scratched up, and the bezel around the tv has scratches. However the Screen is in PERFECT condition! I use it in a spare room for gaming and I don't have a lot of people over that will notice the cosmetic side...
Summary: I just bought my third refurbished Proscan 24"! Two of them I've had for 2+ years, both still working great! Yes, there might be a bad pixel or two. Other than that, It's a desk-filling screen for about $100. Can't beat that with a stick!
Summary: I was expecting a banged-up frame, scratched screen and dead pixels. What I got was a perfectly fine tv that looks completely new. Keep your expectations low and it will exceed them by a mile.
Pros: -Largest 1080p screen for the price -1 set of inputs for everything you need -PC input with headphone jack a nice bonus
Cons: -Backlight bleeds on all 4 sides -Remote control needs to point directly at sensor to work -Built in speakers are garbage
Summary: The TV is obviously used, and mine came with a chip/chunk gone in the upper right corner casing. I've decided to ignore it since it is a patio TV, but if it was indoors, it would be a deal breaker and I'd have to send it back.
Pros: Wonderful picture...no dead pixels on mine, as other people have stated. Great color and bright, with just the default settings. This is the one reason I decided to keep it, versus my cons.
Cons: The speakers sound horrible....very tinny, even after adjusting the equalizer settings. I own 6 different flat panel TVs, even ones half the size of this one, and these are by far the worst sounding speakers.
Summary: There is no optical out, so the "earphone out" is the only way to pipe the sound out of the unit's TV tuner to your stereo is out the 1/8th analog "earphone jack," and it will 'only' be stereo (but there are additionally a surprising amount of EQ and other sound adjustments and this method sounds...
Pros: This is a 24" monitor with 1080p resolution that has a great picture and a decent enough TV tuner at as low a price as you'll find anywhere, period. Vesa mounting was a snap as the unit is very lightweight, even with the base left on.
Cons: As others have also noted, there was indeed one "dead pixel" with the unit I received almost exactly in the center of the screen, but other than when in it is in its initial or standby blue (or black) screen mode, I have to try very hard to see if i can notice it. The remote has a tight field of ...
