Summary: Black Screen of Death: intermittent black screen on any input. This product comes with that feature. If you enjoy random blackouts while watching, playing, and computing, this is the HDTV for you. I like the way it sort of keeps me on edge. I never know when the next blackout is coming. If you like normal HDTVs - the boring kind that *always* display video on the selected input - I suggest going with another manufacturer.
Summary: We bought this and had it 2 yrs over the warranty when the tv started smoking like it was going to catch on fire and filling our house with strong, chemical like fumes. Scary when you have little ones in the house. Called Phillips customer service to see about repairing this dangerous product. They responded that there was nothing they could do but offer us to buy a refurbished tv from them.
Summary: Ive owned this tv for a few years ever since I moved on my own and I never seem to turn it off! I have to say I love it because the resolution is amazing and sound is great ! I'm a big movie fanatic and every time I have friends over they always say how great the picture quality is on my Philips tv so that's why I gave it a 5 out of 5 star rating! I would recommend this tv to ANYONE so if you purchase it enjoy !

Summary: This is an excellent Tv for the price .......Ive had mine for almost 4 years and have never ever had a problem out of it everything on it still works perfectly hdmi ports etc....It has an excellent picture quality and if you have a blueray player the picture is stunning because it is true 1080p HD.....I love my TV and will buy another Phillips if this one ever breaks down.....The sound quality is excellent as well...
Summary: No clue how anyone can complain about this television! I've had mine over three years and not so much as a hiccup. I'm dying to find a new smaller screen for my bedroom but can't find anything to compare to the glare contrast. This television has ABSOLUTELY NO GLARE!! Without a doubt, my best television investment ever.

Summary: I have a Philips TV model 42PFL3704D/F7 and the latest software updates installed. Lately HDMI1 and HDMI2 stopped recognizing connected equipment but HDMI3 continued to work fine for all equipment (TV Cable Box, ROKU box, Philips DVD home theater). The Philips support team suggested the child channel locks might be turned on so I went there (MENU, FEATURES, CHILD LOCKS, etc.) and locks were NOT turned ON for any channel.
