Summary: Great tv! I have had this unit going on four years, and haven't had one issue. It has a very good picture, almost like your are there when brand new. the picture is not as good as it once was but it is still good, especially on Blu-ray or any native 1080p. maybe its just my cable being only at 720p. very solid tv stand that swivels, but practically no wobble. highly recommend!!!
Summary: Have being used it for two years. No big problem at all. The only downside is its glass front is too reflective. During daytime, better watch it in a room with curtains that can block light well.
Summary: After a 9 month search for the perfect HDTV 40-47 with all the bells and goodies i.e. Internet, LED, 1080P etc. And having looked at LG,Panasonic, Sony et al all were great looking and nice performing sets it was the price that settle it the Phillips set give me the most for my hard earn dollar and so I finally settle on it.
Summary: There are some jagged edges when I play God of war one and two but hopefully they'll go away on three. I need to play some blu ray movies on it to see the image clarity better but so far so good. Colors are sharper on this LED than on LCD's and the price is great for a tv this big. Overall I love it and would recommend it to others.
Summary: This TV is good. The design is sleek, very thin, picture/sound quality are good, and it has all the necessary connection ports. I took off one star because I don't like the on-screen volume indicator. Unlike many other TVs (including an older CRT Philips TV we had) it doesn't indicate the volume level numerically, making it harder to set the volume to a level you know you like -- or to tell your kids to do so.
Summary: I love my new TV. ive read other review where people say that the color maybe off sometimes or the sound quality is ok not great but in my set up i have absolutly no regrets on this model. Image quality is Great and in my opinion sound is too. Slim design very beautiful TV and the menus are big and easy to navigate. i do though agree with one criticism and thats the line of sight issue for the remote control.
Summary: In initial quality this television represents the absolute best value for money on the market. Period. The end. No television in this price range can compare. Phillips continues to update the firmware on their website, which can be downloaded on your computer and loaded into the TV via a usb thumb drive. On another note, Philips no longer actually makes TVs any more.
Summary: What is not to like about getting a new tv? Okay i was so excited to get a tv. looked around prices for months then finally struck at this 40 inch LED LCD TV by philips. The volume controls are not sleek and stylish so you'll have to get over that.It took all day to get in right picture dialed in. it was fuzzy and off all day. finally got it decent. Now it might be my lack of knowledge of led. But it is almost too real that it throws my vision off.
Summary: I bought this TV recently from a national chain store on a semi-whim (I'd been wanting a new TV for a little while but wasn't sure if this was the time to buy). Surprised by how few reviews there were, I decided to write this one. While shopping with my wife, we wandered over to the TV wall just to check out what was available, and I proceeded to wander up and down the wall looking at the TVs.
