Summary: After only 2 years of having this TV, it began to show MAJOR problems. First, it randomly turns off after it turns on, and you need to wait about one minute for it to turn back on. Summary: I have to say how amazed I was of the clear picture of this TV and the sound quality. I use a digital antenna ( I bought it on Ebay for $20) and got over 40 programs. I connected the TV wireless to the internet and got all the internet programs like netflixs and vue I also stream my pictures and movies from my computer to the TV. It is so wonderful. THE BEST PART IS MY INTERNET - TV - NETFLIXS BILL TOTALS A TOTAL $60 A MONTH CAN'T BEAT THAT.
Summary: i had to return this tv because it was too large for my entertainment center. i was excited to try it out, but did not do so because of the size issue. i did notice also that in order to utilize the wireless net, you had to purchase a lifetime plan. i didn't care for this requirement because i felt if you are already paying for internet services, i didn't feel getting double billed was fair:( the return process was execellent.
Summary: I bought this because I wanted a reasonably priced TV that had builtin WiFi for Netflix and other services. The user interface for this is slooooooooooow. There's a few second delay between pressing a button and the screen catching up. I am contacting the manufacturer now because of multiple problems: the TV spontaneously shuts off, the video completely disappears, all channels have image ghosting, etc. I would never buy a Philips TV again.
Summary: The picture quality is good, and the sound is great. But the refresh is slow from channels to channels. If Phillips can work on this it would be much better. But on the overall, this is a great tv, and it is worth the money. It has everything that Phillips advertised before I decided to buy it.
Summary: I've had this TV for just over a year now and like the TV for being just that, a TV. Picture is good, sound is okay (don't expect much from built in speakers). If you're looking to get this TV for the Media Connect feature it offers, make sure that it will actually do what you expect. I bought this TV specifically because it had the ability to connect to my computer over WiFi (Media Connect) and share the screen. This works without issue most of the time.
