Summary: Good design and ease of you, but...... Horrid artifacting and blur on fast moving things like sports and movies. Very hard to get around that. Usually love Philips products but this falls very short of my expectations.
Summary: Bought the TV and used it for about 100 hours the first year, then it wouldn't turn on as expected, I had to press the power button over 10 times to get it on, took it to a repair shop and got charged $150 to replace the power main board, had it on for about 20 hours and the same thing happened now the repair shop wants to charge me another $150 to replace the same thing. I see other customers writing about the same problem, this must be a manufacturing flaw.
Summary: We purchased this TV in Feb 2011, and in Jun 2012 it began having difficulties turning on. When we turn it on it shuts off instantly, and we have to start it about 20 times before it finally stays on. I called Philips and followed tech support's instructions to download a software update and install it on the TV. It didn't fix the problem, and when I called Philips back, because the TV was over 1 year old their advice was to take it to a repair shop.
Summary: I bought this TV because I have had good luck with my older Philips TV and have loved this one, but all of the sudden it turned itself off and now when I turn it on it just shuts itself off in a few seconds. It is just out of warranty (I purchased an extended warranty). I paid $349. for the TV. I contacted an authorized Philips service center and was told it would cost $70. to $90. to look at the TV with repair costs added so I decided to buy a new TV (not Philips).
Summary: The sound just fades in and out. The picture will freeze for a split second and you might loose a word or two from the broadcaster or the actor. It is very annoying. This is our main tv but I am going to have to replace it. I have had this TV for a little over a year and it cannot be returned. I think I will buy a tv from Costco at least they give you a 2 year guarantee.
Summary: I'll try to make a long story short. I bought this tv in March of 2011. It did not have the picture quality I hoped for but I could live with it. In January of 2012 it got so I would have to turn it on about 15 time before it would stay on. I called customer support at Phillips and had to email them a copy of the receipt because they said it was not in warranty. After a week they decided it was warranty and sent me another tv (wich took over 2weeks).
Summary: I finally upgraded my Panasonic combo TV/VCR for this LCD HDTV. I read many reviews before I finally decided on this television. I also went to a local store to look at the screens and compare their picture quality. The picture was crisp and of high quality compared to the others and the price was much better as well. I didn't get the cheapest in price, but the highest level of picture quality with a price that was more in the median level. Totally worth every penny.
Summary: I wanted to replace my old 32" with a newer model. I like this one bscause it is easy to set up and the picture quality is above average. The features of multiple HDMI ports and a USB port are super. Being able to update the firmware is a plus. The only con I have is the the side inputs just happen to be on the right (as you look at it) and my other equipment is shelved to the left side. Just means I have to use longer cables. All in all this TV gets 4.5 stars from me!
Summary: This is my third phillips lcd and ALL are working fine. This replaced my 20" from a few years ago in a bedroom. As others have said the 720P is awesome for this tv, with Dish 1080I coming in it looks "crystal" clear. You will not be diappointed by this tv in any way. Good number of hook-ups, easy, easy set-up and the remote is actually realy good. Lots of options but realy the basic set up walk thru leaves you with a excellent picture.
