Panasonic TX-P42G20B

K. Fox "In The Box", Amazon
18 April 2011
  • Summary: An amazing TV. However, a couple of tips for those of you who are not so technical - like me. 1. Yes, if you simply plug the cable from your old Sky satellite dish into the appropriate socket you will get Free Sat HD. 2. Internet Connection. After much investigation I opted to buy a Netgear N600 WNDA3100v2 wireless adapter (from Amazon) rather than Panasonics more expensive option.

Superb once set up properly

V. Vandenberg, Amazon
2 April 2011
  • Summary: I spent a lot of time doing my homework for this purchase. I have no doubt in my mind that I've got it right. It's been a month since taking delivery and almost daily tweaking of settings to get it to that magical point of, whenever I watch this telly, in my mind I go "awesome picture" every few minutes. I have a Virgin Media source for my telly and that was good to start off with picture-wise.

Outstanding picture quality.

Sophie's Dad, Amazon
25 January 2011
  • Summary: This television is the best picture quality I have ever seen. Coupled with a Panasonic BluRay player the experience is amazing. I may never leave the house again. The delivery was delayed because of the December snow, but it was worth the wait. Highly recommended to any serious movie fan, who wants the best picture quality available at a sensible price.

This really is a great TV

Well Anyway, Amazon
20 December 2010
  • Summary: Panasonic TX-P42G20B 42-inch Widescreen Full HD 1080p 600Hz Neo Plasma TV with Freeview HD and Freesat HD I have been putting off buying a flat screen TV for a while as there was nothing wrong with my old steam powered 36" CRT Sony. I decided to take the plunge and spent probably the best part of the next 2 months searching the internet and reading online reviews to help me make my choice.

Great Plasma TV

neovia, Amazon
21 November 2010
  • Summary: Fantastic picture and sounds OK. Looks great. Delivery man carried it in by himself. Easier to unpack with 2 because of size. Very easy to set up and connect to internet and home network although internet is limited to a few sites. Remote control handles Panasonic DVD player and Yamaha sound system so no need for universal remote. Loads of settings to play around with if you want to. Gets great reviews all round.

Stunning

G. D. Henson "mistabowjangles", Amazon
11 November 2010
  • Summary: Plasmas have their issues static image burn in and power consumption, but when it comes to what you've purchased the damn thing for i.e watch moving images as realistically as possible then Plasma beats current affordable LCD/LED (not OLEDs) hands down. It's easy to look at an LCD and say yes that's good its bright and grabs your attention, but in reality this is LCDs downfall, they are just too bright and and colour realism and contrast is lost.

Third Time Lucky

Scott, Amazon
5 November 2010
  • Summary: First things first, this TV is excellent. The quality of the image in HD is breathtaking (particularly in Blu-ray and FreesatHD) and even standard definition broadcasts look pretty impressive (although this does seem to vary between SD channels). FreeviewHD doesn't quite cut the mustard as far as I'm concerned but that may be down to a weaker transmission signal in my area.

Plasma Better Than LCD/LED

EReview, Amazon
31 October 2010
  • Summary: While LCD and LED's grab attention with the brightness of there screens take time to look at this plasma. The colour range and the depth of the colours is significantly better. Just look at the darker/black colours. The HD channels look fantastic and despite my concerns the standard definition channels upscale excellently on this set. The sound of the built in speakers is ok, however a home cinema system really brings this TV to life when watching Bluray/DVD.

Forget LED and LCD they don't even come close

Canonicus "Canonicus", Amazon
16 October 2010
  • Summary: I purchased a Panasonic LCD a few weeks ago and returned it due to weird artifacts appearing with motion. I decided to opt for the Plasma having read an extraordinary number of glowing reviews. I have no regrets making the switch. The picture is more natural and evenly lit compared with my previous LCD (Panasonic TX-L37S20B). But the real difference is in sharpness and smooth action with no artifacts or weird halos whenever something moves at speed.
