Panasonic Viera GT30 (TX-P46GT30B)

CNET
4 July 2011
  • Summary: The 46-inch Panasonic Viera TX-P46GT30B is an outstanding TV. Deep black levels and rich colours make standard- and high-definition content look wonderful, while its 3D performance is also top-class. We've no hesitation in recommending this plasma beauty.
  • Cons: Design could be slicker still; more Internet services would be welcome.

  • Summary: The P46GT30 is the mid-sized option from Panasonic's acclaimed GT30 range, and as such could actually be the most widely desirable of the lot.
  • Pros: Crosstalk-free 3D, Peerless contrast, Good value for what's on offer
  • Cons: Not the brightest pictures, especially with 3D, Judder with some sources

Panasonic TX-P46GT30

What Hi-Fi?
22 July 2011
  • Excerpt: We think by now it’s safe to say that Panasonic is on a roll with its 2011 TVs. After a couple of years in the ‘good-but-not-great’ department, the company has delivered a raft of thoroughly competitive screens – the TX-P46GT30 is the latest. Unsurprisingly, this plasma has a lot in common with the TX-P42GT30 we tested (and enjoyed to the tune of five stars and a Group Test win) in our June 2011 issue.
  • Pros: Fully competitive images from every source, impressive in 3D, built to last
  • Cons: 3D glasses are a cost option
