Summary: Panasonic is well known for its durability and high quality plasmas. However, I had to write a full testimony on how this product is giving me headaches recently. Dear Panasonic, today is a sad day. Today was the day I lost some of the respect I had for the Panasonic brand. What happens when customer care is forgotten? What happens when a product isn't as good as it was supposed to be? Please help me with this issue.
Summary: I bought this tv to replace my 3 year old panny plasma and I am returning it. The picture has improved slightly over a week of use but is still poor. On Normal or cinema mode the picture is far too dim and has no vibrancy or punch. On THX mode supposedly optimised to give you a perfect color balance as the director intended) the picture is brighter but a browny yellow tone is introduced through it. So much so that whites are no longer white but creamy.
Summary: I wanted to love this TV but why mess around with Plasma anymore? The LCD technology at 200MHz is as good as this TV for normal viewing and no problem for sports etc... I have no idea about gaming but I wasn't impressed with this set and returned it after a week as the blacks and textures sometimes looked blurred. You also hear a buzzing from the set which gets annoying, I asked Panasonic about this and they said it was normal?!?!?!
