Excerpt: I purchased the TV for $599 at Target on sale, but when I looked online, the TV goes for $799. I’m incredibly happy with the price I got, but I am not surprised by the regular price of the TV. The $799 price is much closer to other similar models of the same size and capabilities, and I think it is a good value; however, if you can find it for $599, it is an amazing value for an amazing quality TV! Overall, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a flat screen TV.
Summary: Luck had it that we were shopping for our first 'bigger' TV when this was 'Deal of the Day'. Consumer Reports liked it at full price, we love it at a discount price. Very easy to set up (we're technically challenged) and more goodies than we'll probably get to use. The picture is clear, colors are true and vibrant and the speakers are impressive.
Summary: Have two side by side in my cave. Picture quality is nice. Ticket doesn't blur when source is good. Never noticed any glare, day or night. All the inputs I need. Plays mkv files from my flash drive. Haven't tried the streaming stuff Netflix amazon video pandora. Bit it's there. Sound is good. Nice design. Great value. Solid responsive remote. Never tried the dlna or cinema now.
Summary: We ordered this LED tv to replace a 27 in JVC I'art CRT in our living room. The picture quality of the TC-L42E30 is just excellent, providing real/true skin tones, great contrast (using the "light black" setting), and terrific viewing from anywhere in our living room. The HD channels look so good! I like the ease of use of the remote control, which has a nice layout with large volume and channel buttons. The set also works seemlessly with our Panasonic Home Theater.
