Summary: As with their DMR-EX77 the product has excellent performance, and I heartily agree with most of the other reviewers. However both are let down by the ergonomics of the on screen menus. Why does the sound have to cut out when you select the program guide? Why is a good area of this guide taken up by adverts for some junk or other I'm not the slightest bit interested in, leaving the guide itself cramped. If I want adverts I'll watch channel 5!
Panasonic TX-32LZD80 - Everything you need for a modest gawp.
28 March 2010
Excerpt: "I've had this TV for a little over a year now and so far it's been very good. But this is the first large-ish LCD set I've owned, so make of that what you will (I initially felt like one of the apes looking at the black monolith at the start of 2001 A Space Odyssey...). When I watched it alongside the banks of other TVs in John Lewis the picture quality was clearly better than the cheaper brands/models and I've not been disappointed. But I didn't ...
Pros: Reliable and stylish
Cons: Not the cheapest; poor remote control response .
Summary: Picture and sound are first class. I bought this television as a "Which" best buy, as there are so many to choose from, thus, avoiding buying one with poor sound or picture quality etc. It's widescreen 1080p full HD., and it sells at a good price.
Summary: I never buy anything of value without first checking "Which" reports to see 'best buy options' Having read all the test reports I decided that the Panasonic TX32LZD suited all the criteria of picture quality and size that we wanted. I ordered it through Amazon which gave the best price and it was delivered as promised and I was able to track the delivery by City Link. I have not been disappointed.
Summary: ordered tv and initially very very pleased with it. however now a few weeks have passed and when set turned on the digital freeview DVB has erratic signal quality until warmed up, and then all ok once it has locked on to the signal.this happens whether on standby or main switch off. very odd.
Summary: Having owned this TV now for a week I am generally quite impressed with it. Motion handling and colour is excellent, even from lower quality SD sources. It tends to a little softness on some sources but makes up for it with minimum noise. It's very easy to set up and control and the picture quality on BBC HD's endless bright and colourful wildlife programmes is nothing short of fantastic. One area though lets it down badly, namely the handling of black levels.
Summary: This was our first HD TV to replace very old equipment which had worked well for more than 20 years. TV was easy to set up and worked very well. I had studied the market quite carfully and this fully met my expectations.
Summary: the product was everything i had hoped for.easy to set up and once set up a pleasure to watch.with panasonic i always feel that i am getting top value for my money.i also wish to mention the speed and efficiency of amazon.my tv was delivered on the day promised and at the timr promised.
