Excerpt: I purchased the Panasonic TH-50PZ700U flat-screen plasma 50 inch television over a year ago now, and am very impressed with the quality of its picture, the depth of the on-board sound system, and the SD card digital photo display capability.
Excerpt: All my life I was working hard to school my children, to buy a house, to buy a car, there was always something that was more important that enjoying the expensive stuff. So now when my girls have finished university I finally decided to afford something little bit more …
Summary: straight up, i did my research for about a year while i saved money. this is the best set you will find for your money, everything you've read about it is true, except one thing. Burn-in. Gamers beware.
Summary: I orginally bought this TV because it was rated very highly. I had a couple of Samsung LCD's and thought I would try a plasma. When I had it delivered and tried to set it up I found that I could not increase the brightness and contrast to the level I wanted.
Summary: Bright, beautiful picture on component inputs from digital cable and DVD. Great for action and sports viewing. The image quality makes it hard to hold off buying a Blu-Ray player as well. I have not tested the HD tuner or other inputs yet.
Summary: I am totally impressed with this set. I had extremely high expectations coming from an HDTV CRT and was prepared to have to deal with some sacrifice in quality to go flat panel. However, the picture quality on this set has exceeded that of the 720p/1080i CRT it replaced.

Summary: If you're in the market for a big-screen plasma TV, the search is over. Consumer Reports raved about this model and for very good reason. I've owned it for about two months now and cannot believe how astounding the picture quality is, especially HD channels. Even standard defin.
Summary: I've spent weeks going into probably a dozen different stores looking at various 50" to 52" plasma and LCD TVs. Consumer Reports said this TV had the best picture they'd ever seen, so I made sure to check it out every chance I had. All I can say is, I was sure disappointed with CR on this one. Why?
Excellent picture and sound, but only 2 HDMI inputs

Summary: I agree with most of the reviewers here who rave about the picture quality. I chose this panasonic model over the similar TH-50PZ77U because the antiglare filter on the latter created a more "washed out" picture, whereas this model is sharp and bright with lots of contrast.
